Carlyle Acquires a Majority Stake in VLCC, Indian Skincare and Beauty Platform

On January 10, Global investment firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) announced the acquisition of a majority stake in India’s homegrown skincare and beauty platform VLCC. The deal marks a strategic partnership with VLCC’s founders, who will continue to hold a significant stake in the company.
Although terms of the transaction were not disclosed, sources say the purchase price could be as high as $300 million.
