Another Tomorrow

Renowned American actress Angelina Jolie has been appointed as a strategic advisor for the American sustainable luxury apparel brand Another Tomorrow.

As a member of the advisory board, Angelina Jolie will share knowledge, resources, and community building efforts, committed to setting new standards for creating a more resilient and sustainable ecosystem in the fashion industry.

Angelina Jolie stated, “For those of us working towards sustainability, finding the right partners is the biggest challenge. This is why I joined the advisory board of Another Tomorrow. Vanessa is charting a different path for the industry.

Founded in 2020 by Vanessa Barboni Hallik, Another Tomorrow is a luxury apparel brand certified as a Benefit Corporation (B-Corp), utilizing responsibly sourced farm-produced materials, employing a short and transparent supply chain, featuring proprietary technology stacks, and fully leveraging digital IDs for origin tracing, anti-counterfeiting, and certified resale. Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Chastain, and Meghan Markle have worn the brand. Another Tomorrow is now available at third-party retailers including Net-A-Porter, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Holt Renfrew, Moda Operandi, Saks, and Selfridges.

On March 11th this year, Another Tomorrow received a $2 million investment from Swiss investment management firm Una Terra. This investment is part of Another Tomorrow’s Series A funding round.

Acne Studios

Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios announced the appointment of Hendrik Bitterschulte as its new Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Acne Studios CEO Mattias Magnusson. This appointment will take effect on May 2nd.

In his new role, Hendrik Bitterschulte will be responsible for “all financial affairs of the group and its international subsidiaries as well as all legal affairs.”

Mattias Magnusson stated in a release, “Hendrik Bitterschulte brings a wealth of experience as he joins us at an exciting time in Acne Studios’ history. Currently, we are expanding the brand’s international presence and launching new product categories.” For instance, Acne Studios’ first fragrance, Acne Studios par Frédéric Malle, will be launched on April 17th.

Hendrik Bitterschulte holds a Master of Business Administration degree from FHDW University of Applied Sciences in Paderborn, Germany. His career began in auditing roles at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. He then spent ten years at German coffee company Tchibo Group in various roles across finance, operations, and sales. Prior to joining Acne Studios, Hendrik Bitterschulte served as the CFO of Montblanc, a brand under the Swiss luxury goods group Richemont, for eight years, also being a member of the executive committee. His successor at Montblanc has yet to be determined.

Authentic Brands Group

American brand management company Authentic Brands Group announced the hiring of Lim Mi-Kyoung as Senior Vice President and Head of Business in Australia and New Zealand. In her new role, Lim Mi-Kyoung will become Authentic Brands Group‘s first employee in Australia, responsible for the company’s regional expansion, building a team to broaden the company’s product portfolio in the area, and focusing on brand development and growth promotion.

Wesley Chu, Executive Vice President of Authentic Brands Group for Asia-Pacific, stated, “As our business continues to grow across the region, we are bringing in top talents to lead our brands and open new doors for launching new categories and distribution channels. … Lim has extensive experience in driving brand value and establishing lasting relationships with top manufacturers and retailers.”

Previously, Lim Mi-Kyoung’s most recent position was as Managing Director at Australian brand marketing and licensing agency WP Brands, which she joined in 2006. Additionally, she held leadership roles at Gaffney Licensing and Hallmark Australia. Throughout her career, she managed multiple brands, including Pokémon, Discovery, Netflix, Cartoon Network, Paramount, and Universal Studios, among others.

Currently, Authentic Brands Group owns over 50 entertainment and lifestyle brands, including Eddie Bauer, Frye, Reebok, and Nautica. Earlier this year, the company acquired footwear and lifestyle brand Sperry for $70 million.

Zara Women/Inditex

The Spanish clothing retailer Inditex announced a management change at its Zara Woman company, with Lorena Rodríguez succeeding the departing Ana Risueño to lead this business segment.

Zara Woman includes the women’s clothing products of the Zara brand as well as the Basic and Trafaluc product lines, forming the core sector of the Zara brand.

Lorena Rodríguez’s appointment represents an internal promotion, previously working in the Circular department, which supplies products for the three product lines under Zara Women.

According to Spanish media La Voz de Galicia, the entire women’s department of Zara is led by senior group executive Beatriz Padín.

The Very Group

Robbie Feather, the Retail Director of the e-commerce group The Very Group, which owns Very and Littlewoods, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Lionel Desclée, who is leaving to seek new opportunities.

Additionally, Robbie Feather will join the board of directors. He joined the company three years ago, leading the retail team across all categories of procurement, buying, and merchandising, as well as the group’s trading and marketing.

Before joining The Very Company, Robbie Feather was the CEO of the British department store Fenwick and had previously worked at Sainsbury’s subsidiary Argos.

Lectra

On April 5th, Lectra, a technology solutions provider aimed at accelerating the fashion, automotive, and furniture industries’ transition to Industry 4.0, announced the appointment of Antonella Capelli as President for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, effective May 1st, 2024. Additionally, Antonella Capelli has been a member of the executive committee since January 1st, 2024, succeeding the retiring Fabio Canali.

Antonella Capelli holds a Master’s degree in Management and Production Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano. Her career started at IBM Global Business Services, managing IT projects, digital innovation, and consulting sales in the fashion market. In 2013, she joined Lectra as the Manager of Professional Services in Italy. Later, in 2017, she moved to sales roles, gradually increasing her responsibilities in Italy and the Southern Europe and North Africa regions.

Daniel Harari, Chairman and CEO of Lectra, thanked Fabio Canali for his efforts during his tenure, “For twenty years since joining Lectra, Fabio Canali excellently guided our teams in Italy, Southern Europe, and North Africa… His leadership and expertise were crucial for the success of many products launched in the past decade,” and welcomed Antonella Capelli, “I am particularly pleased that Antonella Capelli is taking over to continue Lectra’s development in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. For over a decade, she has demonstrated an excellent understanding of customer challenges and the ability to accelerate our company’s growth in the region.”
