Personnel Updates | Bulgari Fragrances Appoints New Director; Executive Appointments at L’Occitane Group, The Kooples, and Polimoda

The Italian high jewellery brand BVLGARI announced that Domenico Giampà has been appointed Director of Fragrances, while also assuming the role of Director for Italy and Southern Europe.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the commercial strategy of the Bulgari fragrances business, strengthening the brand’s presence across selective distribution and directly operated retail channels, and driving growth across both core and high-end product lines, with the aim of consolidating Bulgari’s position in the high-end fragrance segment.

Domenico Giampà joined Bulgari Profumi Italia in 1995 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed Sales Director for fragrances in 2004. From 2008 to 2010, alongside his responsibilities for the fragrance business, he also served as Wholesale Sales Director for Bulgari’s jewellery and watch businesses.

With more than 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, Domenico Giampà has contributed significantly to strengthening Bulgari’s presence in selective channels, building strategic partnerships with key market players, and enhancing the market position of Bulgari fragrances within the luxury sector.

L’OCCITANE Group L’Occitane Group

The French skincare group L’OCCITANE has appointed Mark Edington as General Manager of Travel Retail for the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) and the Americas regions, effective immediately.

Mark Edington has more than 25 years of leadership experience in luxury and lifestyle brand management and retail. Most recently, he served as Global Brand President of the Australian skincare brand Aesop. He joined Aesop in 2019 and previously held roles including Global Director of Business Development and Global Head of Wholesale.

Earlier in his career, Mark Edington served as General Manager for the Middle East, Africa, and Russia, and as Global General Manager of Travel Retail at Burberry. He also held senior roles at Parfums Christian Dior, including Senior Manager for the UK and Ireland.

The Kooples

Verdoso, the French investment company and parent company of the French accessible luxury fashion brand The Kooples, announced that Arnaud Reytan has succeeded Anne-Laure Couplet as Chief Executive Officer of the brand.

Arnaud Reytan began his career at Carrefour, where he spent nearly 12 years and rose to the position of Merchandise Planning Director before becoming Director of the Home and Culture division. In 2012, Reytan joined the French home improvement retailer Brico Dépôt, taking on management roles related to supply chain and information technology. In 2017, he joined home improvement retail group Kingfisher as Director of Transformation and Information Technology. In 2018, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the hypermarket chain Cora, and subsequently took the helm of kitchen manufacturer Howdens Cuisines in 2019.

Polimoda

Polimoda, the Italian fashion design institute, has appointed Niccolò Ricci, Chief Executive Officer of Stefano Ricci S.p.A., as its new President for a three-year term. He also serves as a board member of the Italian fashion trade fair group Pitti Immagine S.r.l., menswear company Enrico Mandelli S.p.A., and Polimoda.

Niccolò Ricci succeeds Ferruccio Ferragamo, who served as President for 20 years. Under the leadership of Ferruccio Ferragamo, President and Chairman of the Board of Salvatore Ferragamo Group, the school opened the Villa Favard campus in 2011 and the Manifattura Tabacchi campus in 2020.

Polimoda’s future objectives include strengthening dialogue with the fashion industry, cultivating professional talent for the coming decades, expanding educational resources through the launch of new courses, and enhancing connections with local institutions and international universities.
