Golden Goose

Italian luxury sneaker brand Golden Goose announces that Marco Bizzarri has joined its board of directors. Marco Bizzarri is a seasoned executive in the luxury goods industry, previously serving as the CEO of Italian luxury brand Gucci.

A graduate of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy, Marco Bizzarri’s career began at the consulting firm Accenture. From 1993 to 2004, he held several positions, including General Manager, at Mandarina Duck Group. He then became the General Manager of the Paris-based Marithé & François Girbaud company.

In January 2005, Marco Bizzarri joined the Kering Group, serving as the President and CEO of Stella McCartney. From 2009 to 2014, he was the President and CEO of Bottega Veneta, during which he led the brand to exponential growth, breaking the one billion euro sales milestone. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Executive Committee of Kering Group; in 2014, he was appointed CEO of Kering’s Couture and Leather Goods division.

Starting in 2015, Marco Bizzarri took full leadership of Gucci, achieving historic performance leaps. He resigned in September 2023, and at the end of March this year, he announced the establishment of his own investment company, Nessifashion, and a week later, announced his investment in the Italian fashion brand Elisabetta Franchi.

Alexander McQueen

The British designer brand Alexander McQueen has appointed Gaelle Collet as the Chief Brand and Communications Officer, effective May 15.

In her new role, Gaelle Collet will oversee the brand’s strategy in public relations, communications, image, and marketing, reporting directly to the brand’s CEO, Gianfilippo Testa.

Gaelle Collet is a seasoned luxury industry expert, previously serving as a consultant for the Spanish perfume and beauty group Puig, and has held positions in the communications departments of notable brands such as Schiaparelli, Chanel, and Dior.

Gaelle Collet has worked with renowned designer Hedi Slimane for many years, including from 2000 to 2007 at Dior, later joining Saint Laurent, and in 2018, joining Celine as the Director of Public Relations and Press, later promoted to Global Head of Public Relations, Media, and Social Networks.

Joeone

Joeone International Investments Holdings Limited announces that Lin Zehuan, a director and deputy general manager of the company, has been appointed as the General Manager of the JOEONE business division.

In his new role, Lin Zehuan will continue to work with his team on brand enhancement, product upgrades, channel improvements, consumer experience enhancements, and organizational operational upgrades to achieve high-quality, healthy, and sustainable development, creating a community of shared future and interests for shareholders and employees.

Official press releases indicate that Lin Zehuan formally assumed the roles of director and deputy general manager of Joeone Co., Ltd. in 2020. As a youthful force in the Joeone management team, he has led his team to solidify strategies, promote brand rejuvenation, and address issues such as aging in brand/products/channels/organization. He has driven three major reform measures to enhance brand visibility, image visibility, and product visibility, continuously pushing for brand and product upgrades and channel enhancements, achieving significant results. Initiatives like the youthful redesign of products, the upgrade to the new 10th generation store image, high-end pop-up stores, and appearances at international fashion weeks in Paris and Milan have brought breakthrough growth to the Joeone brand, continually boosting its momentum.

Ganni

Danish fashion brand Ganni has appointed Laura du Rusquec as the CEO, succeeding the outgoing Andrea Baldo.

In her new role, Laura du Rusquec will be based in Paris, leading the brand’s accelerated expansion into global markets.

Laura du Rusquec’s most recent position was as the Deputy CEO of the luxury brand Balenciaga, and she has previously worked at Gucci and its parent company Kering.

Eduardo Velasco, a partner at the private equity firm L Catterton, which holds the brand, stated that Laura du Rusquec’s experience in the luxury goods industry in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) markets, as well as globally, makes her an ideal candidate for leading Ganni through its next phase of growth and continuous innovation.

Brixton

California-based lifestyle brand Brixton has appointed Seth Ellison as CEO, effective April 22.

Before joining Brixton, Seth Ellison worked for 40 years at the American fashion group Levi Strauss & Company, where his most recent position was Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. He has previously served as the interim President of the Levi’s brand, President of Levi’s brand Europe, and Global President of the Dockers brand.

Founded in 2004, Brixton has become an omnichannel lifestyle brand known for integrating surfing, skateboarding, music, design, and fashion to create headwear, apparel, and accessories with a modern classic style. In 2014, the company was acquired by the investment firm Altamont Capital.

Jott

French outdoor brand Jott has appointed Sophie Metzker as the Director of Marketing and Digital, succeeding Sonia Tautou.

Prior to this, Sophie Metzker was the Director of Marketing and Communications at the French luxury brand Longchamp. Her career in the luxury goods industry began at L’Oréal Group, later becoming the International Marketing Director for Giorgio Armani Beauty. She has also worked at Rémy Cointreau, Kenzo, and managed the flagship Louis Vuitton store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris in 2016.
