Personnel Updates | Second-Generation Leader Appointed as General Manager at Biemlfdlkk; Timberland Names Global Vice President; Executive Changes at Puma

On April 29, Biemlfdlkk announced that Shen Jindong had submitted his resignation as General Manager due to work adjustments. His original term was set to end on January 25, 2027. The resignation took effect upon delivery to the Board of Directors. With board approval, Xie Yong, son of Biemlfdlkk Chairman Xie Bingzheng, has been appointed as the new General Manager.

Born in 1994, Xie Yong is a Chinese national with no permanent residency overseas. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and a master’s degree from Chuo University in Japan. He previously worked at Itochu (Shanghai) Fiber Trading Co., Ltd. and served as Director of the Golf Division at Biemlfdlkk. He now serves as the company’s General Manager. As of the date of this announcement, Mr. Xie does not hold any company shares. He is the son of Xie Bingzheng, the company’s actual controller, controlling shareholder, and Chairman, and the son of Feng Lingling, also an actual controller and controlling shareholder. He has no other related-party relationships with other directors, supervisors, or senior executives of the company.

Going forward, Shen Jindong will remain a director and a member of the board’s special committees. He will continue to serve as Chief Strategy Officer, providing guidance and advice on the company and brand’s business development. As of April 29, Mr. Shen directly holds 19,652,000 shares in the company. Following his resignation as General Manager, he will continue to comply with relevant regulations concerning shareholding reduction by directors and senior management, including the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Listing Rules and other applicable laws.

On May 14, Biemlfdlkk further announced that non-independent director Shen Jindong plans to reduce his shareholding by no more than 4.913 million shares (approximately 0.8609% of the total share capital) between June 6, 2025, and September 5, 2025, through block trades or centralized bidding.

Timberland

Timberland, the outdoor lifestyle brand under American apparel giant VF Corporation, has appointed Darren Mckoy as Global Vice President, responsible for product design and creative direction.

In his new role, Mckoy will work with the brand to shape narratives, create products, and collaborate with teams dedicated to connecting brand, consumers, and culture with purpose.

Mckoy’s most recent role was Creative Director at British footwear brand Dr. Martens, a position he left in January of this year. He joined Dr. Martens in January 2015 as Global Category Manager for Footwear, was promoted in 2017 to Global Director of Product and Commercial Planning, and took on the role of Global Creative Director in November 2021.

Prior to Dr. Martens, Mckoy held various roles at VF Corporation, adidas, Mamas & Papas, and Asics, serving in capacities such as Product Manager and Category Manager. From December 2010 to February 2012, he was Product Manager for The North Face in the EMEA region under VF Corporation.

Puma

German sportswear brand Puma has appointed Dominique Gathier as Vice President of Team Sports, effective May 15.

Puma’s team sports division develops footwear, apparel, and accessories for football, as well as regionally important sports such as handball, rugby, and cricket.

In his new role, Gathier succeeds Matthias Bäumer, who has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer. He will report directly to Chief Product Officer Maria Valdes. Gathier’s responsibilities include leading the entire product team within the Team Sports division, ensuring the successful development and execution of product strategy, and working closely with numerous external partners, including clubs and associations.

Gathier, 45, holds dual French and German nationality and has worked at Puma for 19 years in various key roles across marketing and product development. His most recent role was Senior Director of Product Line Management for Team Sports Footwear and Equipment, where he oversaw the development of Puma’s top-tier football boots, including the Future, Ultra, and King series. He holds a degree in Management from KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, France.
