Tom Ford

American luxury beauty giant Estée Lauder Companies announced that Peter Hawkings is stepping down from his role as Creative Director of its luxury brand Tom Ford.

Peter Hawkings has been with the brand for less than a year and a half, but his collaboration with the brand’s founder and designer, Tom Ford, spans over 20 years. From 1998 to 2006, Peter Hawkings worked at Gucci, where he collaborated with Tom Ford. In 2006, he joined the Tom Ford brand, overseeing and designing the brand’s menswear. Before becoming Creative Director, he served as the Senior Vice President of Tom Ford’s menswear division.

The new successor will be announced “in the near future,” and the brand’s latest Spring/Summer 2025 collection, released in September, will be showcased in Milan’s showroom.

Maison Margiela / Fendi

John Galliano, Creative Director of the Italian OTB Group’s French luxury brand Maison Margiela, is rumored to be leaving this fall.

According to informed sources, despite OTB Group Chairman Renzo Rosso’s repeated efforts to continue the collaboration, John Galliano has decided not to renew his contract.

Speculation began when John Galliano cleared his personal Instagram account content a few months ago.

An OTB Group spokesperson commented: “It is well known that rumors surrounding highly regarded creative talents are always circulating in the industry, and we do not comment on them. What we can say is that the relationship between John Galliano, Maison Margiela, and our Group Chairman Renzo Rosso is very good.”

John Galliano’s next move remains unclear, but insiders suggest he might join Fendi. An LVMH Group spokesperson declined to comment.

Dior

Thibo Denis, head of men’s shoe design at French luxury brand Dior, announced his departure via his personal social media account.

Thibo Denis began his career in footwear design in 2008, previously working at Kris Van Assche. He joined Dior in 2015 as a senior footwear designer and was promoted to head of shoe design in 2017.

Together with men’s creative director Kim Jones, who joined in 2018, Thibo Denis created several iconic shoes for Dior, such as the Dior x Jordan 1 Retro High, Dior x Birkenstock Tokio, and Dior B22 sneakers. In addition to his work at Dior, Thibo Denis also served as a consultant for Fendi.
