Event organizer and family-owned trade publishing company William Reed has acquired the World Retail Congress (hereinafter referred to as “WRC”), the significant event in the retail industry, from Ascential, parent company of Cannes Lions, and trend forecasting service provider WGSN at an undisclosed transaction price.
The news comes from British trade newspaper Retail Week, which, like WRC, also belonged to Ascential and was also acquired by William Reed at the same time.
