Belgian designer brand Dries Van Noten has appointed Julian Klausner as its Creative Director.

In his new role, Julian Klausner will oversee both the men’s and women’s collections, leading the brand into a new chapter.

Julian Klausner studied at La Cambre/Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels in Brussels, earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in fashion design in 2016.

He joined Dries Van Noten in August 2018, working closely with the brand’s founder to co-create, design, and refine every detail of the women’s collections.

The brand stated, “As Creative Director, Julian Klausner will drive innovation across both menswear and womenswear while ensuring the brand’s unique and distinctive identity remains at the core of his creative vision.”

Julian Klausner will unveil the Men’s Winter 2025 collection in January 2025 through a Look Book format. His debut women’s collection will be presented in a runway show on March 5, 2025.

CFDA

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced the re-election of American designer Thom Browne as its Chairman, with his term extended until the end of 2026.

Additionally, the Council’s Vice Chairmen Aurora James and Prabal Gurung, Treasurer Stacey Bendet, and Secretary Maria Cornejo will also serve through 2026.

Thom Browne was first unanimously elected as CFDA Chairman in October 2022 for a two-year term, succeeding designer Tom Ford.

Thom Browne expressed, “It’s an honor to continue serving as Chairman of the CFDA. Over the past two years, we have focused on fostering creativity and supporting the unique voices that define American fashion. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished and look forward to building on this foundation to ensure the CFDA remains the home of America’s greatest talent.”

A CFDA member since 2005, Thom Browne has won the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year award three times (2006, 2013, 2016) and was the runner-up for the 2005 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. In addition to his role as Chairman, he previously served on the CFDA Recruitment Committee and the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund jury.

This year, Thom Browne has been nominated for both Menswear Designer of the Year and American Womenswear Designer of the Year.

PVH

American fashion retail group Phillips-Van Heusen Corp (PVH) has appointed Donald Kohler as CEO for the Americas.

Donald Kohler joined PVH in early 2023 as President of Calvin Klein Americas and currently also oversees Tommy Hilfiger operations in the Americas.

In his new role, Kohler will report directly to PVH CEO Stefan Larsson.

Previously, Donald Kohler held senior positions at Ferragamo and Burberry.

Estée Lauder Companies Inc.

American beauty giant Estée Lauder Companies Inc. announced that board member Richard D. Parsons has retired, effective immediately, due to health reasons.

Richard D. Parsons had served on Estée Lauder’s board since 1999 and was a member of its Nomination and ESG Committees, as well as its Compensation Committee.
