Fiskars Group
Finnish home goods company Fiskars Group has appointed Daniel Lalonde as the new CEO of its Vita division and a member of the Fiskars Group Leadership Team, effective April 14.
The Vita division encompasses high-end luxury products, including tableware, drinkware, jewelry, and interior décor. Its brand portfolio includes Iittala, Georg Jensen, Royal Copenhagen, Moomin Arabia, and Wedgwood.
In his new role, Daniel Lalonde will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will report to Nathalie Ahlström, President and CEO of Fiskars Group.
Before joining Fiskars Group, Lalonde held leadership roles at several luxury, fashion, home, and consumer goods brands. He was previously CEO of Flos B&B Italia Group, SMCP (Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot, and Fursac), and Ralph Lauren. Prior to that, he spent ten years at LVMH, where he served as President and CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry North America and President and CEO of Louis Vuitton North America, among other senior positions.
Fiskars Group is structured into two main divisions: Vita and Fiskars. The Fiskars division includes gardening, watering, and outdoor products, as well as scissors, crafting, and cooking tools. Its brands include Fiskars and Gerber.
Fiskars Group owns both divisions but operates independently, each with its own CEO and legal entity. Nathalie Ahlström will continue in her role as President and CEO of Fiskars Group. Since October 2024, she has also been serving as interim CEO of the Vita division.
BHV Marais
Parisian department store BHV Marais has appointed Karl-Stéphane Cottendin as CEO, succeeding Emmanuelle Claverie-Veysset.
In his new role, Karl-Stéphane Cottendin’s responsibilities include—but are not limited to—establishing a new procurement organization and a logistics center with a dedicated warehouse; upgrading IT services; and creating a more efficient and healthier management structure through cost control in both operations and human resources.
Previously an analyst at Merrill Lynch, Cottendin has been with French department store operator Société des Grands Magasins (SGM) since 2018, most recently serving as Director of Operations.
In November 2023, SGM acquired BHV Marais and its BHV store located in the Parly 2 shopping center in western Paris from Galeries Lafayette Group.
Drykorn
German fashion brand Drykorn has appointed Anni Oppermann as Head of Marketing, effective April 1.
With extensive experience in brand strategy and storytelling, Oppermann is expected to play a key role in supporting Drykorn’s international expansion.
She brings over two decades of expertise in digital communication and brand development. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Central Europe at German fashion and luxury group Hugo Boss. Prior to that, she held various senior leadership roles at adidas.
Lürssen
German yacht builder Lürssen has promoted Sales Director Luca Raumland to Director of Sales and Marketing.
In his new role, Luca Raumland will work closely with Michael Breman, one of the most recognized figures in Lürssen’s sales history. Their collaboration is intended to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining the company’s high standards in client relationships, continuity, and strategic vision. In addition to overseeing global sales operations, Raumland will lead Lürssen’s marketing department, with a strong focus on strategic growth and innovation. His responsibilities include enhancing the brand’s presence across digital and experiential platforms, strengthening storytelling around Lürssen’s cutting-edge technologies, and expanding the company’s appeal to the next generation of yacht owners.
Raumland brings nearly two decades of experience in the yachting industry, spanning ultra-luxury superyacht development and sustainable motor yacht innovation. He co-founded boutique superyacht builder GX Superyachts, a company lauded for its forward-thinking design philosophy and customer-centric, fully customized construction approach. At GX Superyachts, he led sales and strategy, helping the brand establish a foothold in the increasingly competitive luxury yacht market.
Raumland also held key commercial roles at Greenline Yachts, a pioneer in hybrid and eco-friendly propulsion systems. During his tenure, he contributed to the brand’s international sales growth and helped position it as a leader in the sustainable yachting segment.
Starwood Capital Group
Private equity investment firm Starwood Capital Group has appointed Jonathan Pollack as President, effective April 1.
With over 26 years of experience in real estate investment, Pollack will work alongside Chairman and CEO Barry Sternlicht and other senior executives to guide the firm into its next phase of growth.
Prior to joining Starwood Capital, Pollack was most recently with Blackstone Group, where he served as Global Head of the Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) business since 2016. He was also a member of Blackstone’s Real Estate Executive Committee and Investment Committee, as well as the firm’s Operating Committee.
Before joining Blackstone in 2015, Pollack was Global Head of Commercial Real Estate at Deutsche Bank. He previously spent eight years at Deutsche Bank’s London office, where he served as Head of Capital Markets and was instrumental in establishing the firm’s European CRE platform. Pollack holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University.
