Italian luxury brand Prada has announced that, “by mutual agreement,” Chief Executive Officer Gianfranco D’Attis will step down at the end of this month.
Following his departure, Andrea Guerra, CEO of the Prada Group, will assume the role of interim CEO of the Prada brand until a new appointment is made.
Gianfranco D’Attis took on this newly created role on January 2, 2023, overseeing Prada’s global brand strategy. Prior to his appointment, the Prada brand had been jointly led by Miuccia Prada and her husband Patrizio Bertelli.
D’Attis is a graduate of the Graduate School of Business Administration Zurich (GSBA) and Columbia Business School in New York. He spent the majority of his career at Swiss luxury conglomerate Richemont, where he held various management positions for brands such as IWC Schaffhausen, Chloé, and Jaeger-LeCoultre across multiple countries. After Richemont, he joined Christian Dior Couture, the high-fashion division of French luxury brand Dior.
