Personnel Updates | Tasaki’s New CEO Joins from Chanel; Leica Camera and The Woolmark Company Appoint New CEOs

Japanese high-end jewellery brand Tasaki has announced a major executive reshuffle:

  • Richard Collasse has been appointed Director, Representative Executive Officer and Global Chief Executive Officer. The brand’s former Representative Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer,
  • Juichi Tajima will assume the role of Chairman and will no longer hold representative authority.
  • Kentaro Odagiri has been appointed Representative Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tasaki Japan.
  • Matthew Bai has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Asia, overseeing the brand’s operations across Asia, excluding Japan.

Richard Collasse is currently President and Chairman of Chanel’s Japanese subsidiary. He joined Chanel in 1985 and became Managing Director of Chanel Hong Kong in 1993. In 1995, he was appointed President of Chanel Japan, a position he held until 2018, when he was promoted to Chairman.

Kentaro Odagiri is currently President and Representative Director of Ferragamo Japan. Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Burberry Japan and Celine Japan. He began his career at Isetan Department Store before joining Barneys New York. He also participated in the founding of Japan’s high-end department store Estnation, and later joined Gap Japan, where he was responsible for operations of the Banana Republic brand.

Matthew Bai is currently General Manager of Qeelin Greater China. He previously served as Vice President of Commercial for Diesel Greater China, General Manager of Theory China, and General Manager of GANT China.

Leica Camera

The Supervisory Board of German camera manufacturer Leica Camera AG has appointed Andreas Voll as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2026. He will succeed Matthias Harsch, who has led the company since 2017.

Andreas Voll most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of the German industrial group Fischer Group. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at the Swiss luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen, holding multiple management roles and ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer. He began his career at the management consultancy Roland Berger.

Upon taking office, his priorities will include expanding digital and connected imaging solutions, continuing the development of a premium product portfolio, strengthening the global sales and retail network, enhancing partnerships in mobile imaging and optics, and advancing sustainable corporate governance and responsible manufacturing systems.

The Woolmark Company

Australian Wool Innovation, the parent organisation of the global wool authority The Woolmark Company, has announced the appointment of Bryan Fry as the new Chief Executive Officer of Woolmark, effective immediately.

Bryan Fry previously spent 30 years at the French wine and spirits group Pernod Ricard, where he rose from a grape grower to Chairman and Global Chief Executive Officer, leading large-scale international operations across multiple markets and premium brands.

George Millington, Chairman of the Board of Australian Wool Innovation, stated, “Bryan Fry’s career combines extensive hands-on agricultural experience as an agronomist with deep expertise in international marketing, brand development and commercial strategy. This unique blend of skills makes him the ideal candidate to lead Woolmark.”
