Armani

Italian luxury group Armani has appointed Dario Vitale as Creative Director of Accessories for both Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani, effective immediately.

With the appointment, Dario Vitale becomes the first person from outside the Armani family to take on this strategically important creative role.

Dario Vitale has built an impressive career in the fashion and luxury industry. He previously served for eight months as Chief Creative Officer of Versace. Prior to that, he was Design and Image Director at Miu Miu, part of Prada Group, having spent many years working in the design studios of the Group’s brands. He first joined Miu Miu in 2010 and left in March 2025.

His career has given him a keen eye for product, a deep understanding of quality control, and extensive expertise in contemporary brand positioning. Born in 1983, Dario Vitale studied design at Istituto Marangoni and previously worked at Bottega Veneta under then-Creative Director Tomas Maier.

Armani Group said the appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter in the brand’s history, opening up a dialogue between innovation and the brand’s core identity. While remaining faithful to Giorgio Armani’s longstanding aesthetic vision, the move further strengthens the Group’s creative structure and supports the brand’s continued development.

German fashion and luxury group Hugo Boss has appointed Michael Murray as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Michael Murray is currently Chief Executive Officer of British fashion retail group Frasers Group, a major shareholder in Hugo Boss. He is also the son-in-law of Frasers Group founder Mike Ashley.

I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Supervisory Board and Managing Board to build on the company’s strong foundations and execute its strategic priorities. We will ensure continuity across the business, maintain a clear long-term perspective, and work to unlock the full potential of Hugo Boss, creating sustainable value for all shareholders and stakeholders.”

Meanwhile, another Frasers-nominated candidate, Robert Palmer, is expected to join the Supervisory Board, subject to final approval by the local court. Robert Palmer is a chartered accountant with more than 40 years of experience in audit and corporate advisory. During his career, he has held a number of senior positions in the accounting profession and advised numerous listed and privately held companies on corporate transactions. Since 2022, he has served as a director of Frasers Group Financial Services Limited.
