Personnel Updates | Cartier’s New CEO Has Extensive Experience in the Chinese Mainland; Kering Beauty Appoints CFO

Swiss luxury group Richemont has appointed Louis Ferla as the CEO of its high-end jewelry brand Cartier, succeeding the retiring Cyrille Vigneron, effective September 1.

Following Richemont’s executive succession plan led by Chairman Johann Rupert, the company aims to chart a course for long-term growth through generational renewal of its leadership team. The appointment of Louis Ferla as Cartier’s new CEO was a mutual decision with Cyrille Vigneron.

After his retirement, Cyrille Vigneron will serve as Chairman of Cartier’s cultural and charitable initiatives.

Louis Ferla is currently the CEO of Richemont’s luxury watch brand Vacheron Constantin. He joined Richemont in 2001, initially serving as Sales Manager for Dunhill in Hong Kong and later as General Manager in Taipei. In 2006, he joined Cartier, holding various senior management positions in the Middle East, India, and Africa, and was eventually appointed CEO of Cartier China. In 2015, he became a member of Cartier’s Executive Committee, serving as International Client and Business Director. Since 2017, Louis Ferla has been the CEO of Vacheron Constantin.

Kering Beauté

French luxury giant Kering has appointed Stéphane Perrault as the CFO of its beauty division, Kering Beauté.

Stéphane Perrault brings extensive experience in the luxury sector. From October 2022 to June 2024, he served as CFO of Maison Ferrand and previously was the CFO of luxury beauty brand La Bouche Rouge. He also worked as a freelancer at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions.

From 2016 to 2019, he was the CFO for Shiseido’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa markets, and Global CFO of its Fragrance Division.

Lenzing

Austrian fabric giant Lenzing has appointed Kit Ping Au-Yeung as Executive Vice President of its Textile Business, succeeding Florian Heubrandner, who will become Executive Vice President of the Filament Business.

In her new role, Kit Ping Au-Yeung will be responsible for the development and expansion strategy of Lenzing’s textile business, which includes brands such as Tencel and Ecovero.

Kit Ping Au-Yeung has decades of industry experience, having held national and global commercial and operational management positions at Coats Group and Amann Group.

Additionally, Lenzing’s Supervisory Board has announced that Rohit Aggarwal will take over as Head of the Fibers Division in the third quarter and will assume the role of CEO in March 2025.

Rohit Aggarwal holds an MBA and has decades of leadership experience in the textile and chemical industries. Lenzing emphasized that his extensive management experience in Europe, the US, and Asia provides him with a deep understanding of strategic market development and team building. He also brings significant expertise in the global textile and fiber markets.

Current CEO of the Fibers Division, Stephan Sielaff, will not renew his contract when it expires next year and will seek new opportunities.

Ren Clean Skincare/Unilever

Unilever Prestige has announced that Michelle Brett will step down as CEO of its sustainable beauty brand Ren Clean Skincare, effective July 1.

Michelle Brett will take on a new position within Unilever, though specific details have not yet been disclosed.

Before joining Ren Clean Skincare, Michelle Brett worked with Living Proof, another Unilever Prestige haircare brand, most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Retail. She has also held positions at Caudalie, Jonathan Product, and L’Occitane.
