Recently, Chinese leather manufacturer Henan Prosper & Colomer Moda announced the completion of its acquisition of Italian luxury leather manufacturer Conceria Ausonia.
Following its acquisition of the century-old Spanish leather company Colomer 1792 in 2009, this marks another significant milestone in Henan Prosper & Colomer Moda’s globalization strategy.
Founded in 1946, Ausonia is located in the Santa Croce leather district in Tuscany, Italy. As a long-established family business, Ausonia has specialized in the production of high-end vegetable-tanned cowhide since its inception. It supplies leather for handbags, travel cases, accessories, and decorative items to renowned luxury brands and the furniture industry. The company’s production facilities cover an area of over 18,000 square meters, with a monthly production capacity of 70,000 square meters of leather.
In the future, Henan Prosper & Colomer Moda aims to elevate Ausonia into a leading Italian leather manufacturer that integrates high-end vegetable tanning techniques with modern tanning and research and development. This move reflects the company’s confidence in deepening its presence in the European market and will further strengthen its position in the international market.
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Mengzhou, Jiaozuo, Henan Province, Henan Prosper & Colomer Moda’s headquarters spans over 233 hectares and employs more than 10,000 people. The company’s procurement and sales network extends globally, with subsidiaries in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Italy, and Spain. It collaborates with numerous top-tier international luxury brands.
