From July 24 to 27, 2025, the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open will be held grandly at Dundonald Links in Scotland.

This year’s tournament brings together a stellar lineup of top-tier golfers, including Grace Kim, who captured her first career title this month at The Amundi Evian Championship; Minjee Lee, who claimed her third major title at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June; 2025 U.S. Women’s Open champion Maja Stark; two-time major winner and current World No. 1 Nelly Korda; three-time major champion Anna Nordqvist; 2022 Scottish Open champion Ayaka Furue; and 2024 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner Amy Yang.

According to the official website, five Chinese Mainland golfers, Wang Xinying, Liu Yan, Zhang Weiwei, Yan Jing, and Liu Yiyi (pictured below, from left to right), will compete in this year’s Scottish Open.

This will mark the fourth consecutive year the Women’s Scottish Open is hosted at Dundonald Links. The tournament returned to this location in 2022 after club owner Darwin Escapes invested £25 million [approximately USD 32 million] to renovate and transform the property into a world-class golf resort.

The term “Links” refers to a specific type of coastal golf course that originated in Scotland. The name is derived from the sandy, dune-filled terrain that connects farmland to the sea. Due to its poor soil quality, the land was unsuitable for agriculture and was thus converted into a golf course.

Dundonald Links is located in the heart of Ayrshire’s renowned “Golf Coast,” just 12 miles from Glasgow and close to legendary courses such as Royal Troon and Prestwick. Thanks to its outstanding facilities, Dundonald Links was named “Best Clubhouse” at the 2025 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards.
