LVMH-owned global consumer private equity fund, L Catterton, has announced a “significant” growth investment in beauty brand Dibs Beauty. Specific transaction details have not been disclosed.
Based in Austin, Texas, Dibs Beauty was co-founded in 2020 by influencers Courtney Shields and Jeff Lee (former COO of A-Rod Corp) and officially launched in September 2021. The brand name comes from the acronym for “Desert Island Beauty Status” and uses vegan, cruelty-free, and skin-friendly formulas to create effective but minimalist, practical but fun makeup products.
