Anne Kirby, President of Chanel Parfums et Beauté, announced her retirement and will step down at the end of this year.

Having joined the company 35 years ago, Anne Kirby played a crucial role in consolidating and expanding Chanel’s perfume and beauty divisions. While her successor has yet to be announced, Anne Kirby will assist with the transition.

Additionally, Chanel Parfums et Beauté has appointed Zoe Michel as the new Head of Editorial Conception for the Department of Influence and Brand Engagement.

In her new role, Zoe Michel will lead the brand’s editorial efforts, focusing on innovation and consumer engagement.

Zoe Michel brings extensive experience in the beauty and fashion industry, having interned at Les Films d’Ici and Les Films du Paradoxe before joining Konbini as a director and host, creating the digital mini-series “Wardrobe Chronicles.”

In 2012, Zoe Michel collaborated with TBWA Paris as a director, creating a digital campaign for Nina Ricci’s Nina fragrance, marking her entry into the luxury and fashion industry.

She has since held positions at LALALAPRODUCTIONS and Condé Nast, and in 2018, she became the Editorial Director of MAD, joining Nina Ricci as Communications and Editorial Director in 2022.

Shiseido Company

Shiseido Company has announced the appointment of Kentaro Fujiwara as President and CEO, succeeding Masahiko Uotani, who is set to retire, effective January 1, 2025.

Kentaro Fujiwara is currently President and COO of Shiseido. He joined Shiseido in 1991 after graduating from university and has held positions in Japan, Europe, and South Korea. In 2016, he joined the Shiseido board and served as General Manager of Shiseido China, becoming CEO of the China region in 2018 until the end of 2022.

Following his retirement, Masahiko Uotani will serve as Senior Advisor to the group, providing support in talent development and external relations.

Marcolin

Italian eyewear manufacturer Marcolin has appointed Andrea Vincenzo Virgilio as Chief Operating Officer, effective July 25.

Andrea Vincenzo Virgilio succeeds Emilio Fulgione, who has joined the Italian pharmaceutical company Artsana Group.

In his new role, Andrea Vincenzo Virgilio will oversee the group’s factories, R&D, product compliance, and supply chain, reporting directly to CEO Fabrizio Curci.

A graduate in Electronic Engineering from the University of Palermo, Andrea Vincenzo Virgilio has over 15 years of experience in the operations of Italian multinational companies. His career began at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), and he has held positions at Luxottica, Lavazza, and Benetton.

Alcantara

Italian new materials manufacturer Alcantara has appointed Eugenio Lolli as President, succeeding Andrea Boragno as Chairman of the Board.

Eugenio Lolli has served as CEO of Alcantara since last year.

He graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Perugia and holds an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan. Eugenio Lolli joined Alcantara, a subsidiary of Toray Industries Inc., in 2011, overseeing “innovation projects and new market development.” Since 2019, he has served as Director of Sales, Technical, and Operations, guiding Alcantara’s commercial, production, and research activities.
