Hermès

French luxury brand Hermès has appointed Paola Triolo as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of its Italian subsidiary, effective September 1.

In addition to her new role, Paola Triolo will also oversee Hermès’ operations in Greece, marking a significant leadership transition following Francesca di Carrobio’s nearly two-decade tenure leading the Italian subsidiary.

Paola Triolo joined Hermès in 2015 as Chief Information Officer and brings over 20 years of experience in the luxury industry. Prior to joining Hermès, she worked at a U.S. consulting firm, Accenture, focusing on high-end retail and digital transformation. She holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan.

Francesca di Carrobio joined Hermès in 1987 and has led its Italian business since 2005. Under her leadership, Hermès significantly expanded its footprint in the Italian and Greek markets, establishing a retail network of 12 boutiques. Going forward, Francesca di Carrobio will remain actively involved in the company’s strategic decision-making. She currently serves as Chief Strategic Affairs and Group Relations Officer, President of Hermès Italy’s operations, and continues to sit on the board of Hermès Italy.

Van Cleef & Arpels / Richemont

Van Cleef & Arpels, the high jewelry brand under Swiss luxury group Richemont, has appointed Mélina Mantion as Director of the Maison’s Salon Vendôme, effective October 27.

In her new role, Mélina Mantion will oversee the operations of Van Cleef & Arpels’ three boutique spaces located at 20, 22, and 24 Place Vendôme, leading a team of around 60 people. Each boutique is dedicated to a different category—jewelry, high jewelry, and fragrance—with the first store having opened in 1906 at No. 22.

Mélina Mantion previously spent seven years at Richemont’s luxury watch brand Panerai, most recently serving as General Manager for France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. She began her career in publishing, holding marketing and communications roles at various French magazines. In 2008, she transitioned to the luxury sector, joining jewelry brand Mauboussin as Director of Marketing and Communications. She moved to Richemont in 2011, becoming Marketing and Communications Director at watchmaker Vacheron Constantin, and later joined Panerai in 2018.

Vogue / Condé Nast

Global media giant Condé Nast has appointed Chloe Malle as the first-ever Head of Content for the U.S. edition of Vogue, effective immediately.

In this role, Chloe Malle will lead the creative and editorial direction of Vogue U.S., joining the global team of ten editorial content directors and reporting to Anna Wintour. Anna Wintour remains the Global Editorial Director of Vogue, overseeing all international editions, including the U.S. edition.

Chloe Malle joined Vogue in 2011 and became Editor of Vogue.com in 2023. She also co-hosts the weekly fashion and culture podcast The Run-Through. Notably, she is the daughter of renowned American actress Candice Bergen and acclaimed French director Louis Malle.
