Rabanne
The French designer brand Rabanne, owned by the Spanish fashion and beauty group Puig, has officially appointed Olivier Rousteing as Creative Director.
An early June report by Luxeplace noted that Olivier Rousteing, former Creative Director of the French luxury brand Balmain, had already joined Rabanne, initially focusing on refining the brand’s design direction, with plans to steer its aesthetic back toward a bold, exuberant, party-infused style.

Olivier Rousteing will debut his first Pre-Fall collection for Rabanne in November, followed by his first ready-to-wear runway show for the brand during Paris Fashion Week in March 2027.
Rabanne stated that Olivier Rousteing’s arrival marks a new phase in the brand’s creative development. He will continue to expand the brand’s scope, deepen the integration between fashion, beauty, and innovation, while upholding its spirit of boldness, creativity, and close alignment with contemporary cultural expression.
Olivier Rousteing was born in Bordeaux, France, and was adopted at the age of one. His mother was an optician and his father a port manager. He grew up in Bordeaux before moving to Paris, where he enrolled at ESMOD (École Supérieure des Arts et Techniques de la Mode), though he did not complete his studies.
In 2003, Olivier Rousteing joined the Italian luxury brand Roberto Cavalli, beginning his career as a designer and later rising to Creative Director of the women’s ready-to-wear line. In 2009, he joined Balmain, working closely with then-Creative Director Christophe Decarnin, and in 2011 he was officially appointed Creative Director, playing a pivotal role in the brand’s revival. He stepped down from Balmain in December 2025.
