Swiss luxury goods giant Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA (Richemont), the parent company of brands including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Vacheron Constantin and Montblanc, has appointed Anton Rupert, son of Chairman Johann Rupert, as non-executive co-deputy chairman.

In his new role, Anton Rupert will work alongside Bram Schot, who has served as non-executive co-deputy chairman since 2024 and will remain in the position.

The two will assume “complementary areas of responsibility”. Anton Rupert will oversee matters relating to the Strategic Product and Communication Committees (SPCCs) of the Group’s Maisons, ensuring continuity in areas that are critical to the Group’s creative and commercial direction.

Bram Schot will “focus on governance matters related to the Board and its committees, including coordination across the Board committees and the Group’s corporate governance framework”.

Group Chairman Johann Rupert said that the appointment represents “an important step in the Board’s long-term succession planning. Richemont’s strength has always come from the continuity provided by deep family involvement, rigorous governance, and an unwavering commitment to creativity and craftsmanship”.

Born in 1987, Anton Rupert has served as a non-executive director on Richemont’s Board since 2017 and is currently a member of the Strategic Security Committee. He was a member of the Nominations Committee until April 2022 and served as a director of the Group’s online watch platform Watchfinder.co.uk from July 2018 to December 2019. He is also currently a non-executive director of Remgro Ltd. and a partner at the family holding company Compagnie Financiere Rupert.

Constellation Hotels Holding

Dubai-headquartered luxury hotel and resort developer Constellation Hotels Holding has announced the launch of a new luxury hotel management division and appointed Neil Jacobs as Chief Executive Officer of the new business.

In his new role, Neil Jacobs will lead the development of Constellation Hotels’ hotel management operations and work alongside Constellation Hotels Chief Executive Officer Gianluca Muzzi.

Neil Jacobs brings extensive international experience in luxury hotel operations and brand building. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Six Senses from 2012 to 2025 before founding creative consultancy Wild Origins in 2025. Earlier in his career, he also held senior executive positions at Starwood Capital Group and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Constellation Hotels Holding owns a portfolio of high-quality hotel assets that have previously been operated by third-party companies.

The new division will take over the operation of the group’s London hotel assets and oversee all of its properties. The division will also launch a global brand, marking the group’s formal entry into the direct operation of its own hotels. Properties currently included within the division comprise The Connaught, The Emory and The Berkeley in London; the forthcoming Saint-Germain hotel in Paris; a project in Marrakech; and the English country estate Hackwood Park.

Going forward, Constellation Hotels will remain responsible for investment and portfolio strategy as the owner and long-term holder of the properties.

Theory

New York fashion brand Theory, owned by Japan’s Fast Retailing Group, has announced its latest management appointments:

  • James Kelly has been appointed global Chief Executive Officer
  • Former Chief Executive Officer Dinesh Tandon has transitioned to the role of global Co-Chief Operating Officer at Theory, while also returning as Chief Executive Officer of Theory China.

James Kelly has spent more than 13 years with Theory’s parent company, Japan’s Fast Retailing Group, building extensive experience in scaling global retail operations and driving international growth. He joined Theory as Chief Financial Officer in 2022 and subsequently became global Co-Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, he played a key role in expanding the brand’s direct-to-consumer business while overseeing finance, planning, merchandising and business transformation across the US, UK and Europe. Before joining Theory, he held a number of management positions at Fast Retailing, helping Uniqlo establish its early presence in the US market before leading its expansion in Canada.

Dinesh Tandon succeeded Theory co-founder Andrew Rosen as Chief Executive Officer in 2019. He first joined Theory in 2013 as Chief Executive Officer for Greater China and Southeast Asia, based in Hong Kong, where he led a period of rapid business growth. In 2017, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and relocated to the company’s global headquarters in New York.

Poltrona Frau

Italian furniture design group Poltrona Frau has appointed Giovanni Baldi as Chief Executive Officer.

In his new role, Giovanni Baldi will succeed Nicola Coropulis, who has spent 18 years with the company, including 10 years as Chief Executive Officer. Coropulis will step down from his executive responsibilities but will continue to work with the group as a strategic adviser, ensuring continuity throughout the transition.

Giovanni Baldi brings more than 25 years of experience in international management roles within the luxury industry, most recently serving as President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Dolce&Gabbana, where he was responsible for the region’s retail and wholesale operations. Prior to this, he spent more than 20 years at Gucci, holding positions of increasing responsibility across finance, regional management and global business development.
