Christian Dior
Christian Dior, a brand under the French luxury conglomerate LVMH, has appointed Michela Kalb as Director of Haute Couture, Men’s and Women’s Ready-to-Wear, Women’s Shoes, and Baby Products. The appointment will take effect on October 1. Dior has confirmed the appointment and stated that she will join the Management Committee.
Michela Kalb previously served as Director of Women’s Ready-to-Wear at Dior from 2006 to 2017 before moving to Louis Vuitton, where she held the position of Director of Women’s Ready-to-Wear under Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière. Her career began as a womenswear buyer at Italian department store La Rinascente, followed by sales roles at Prada and Miu Miu. She then spent many years at LVMH brands Dior and Louis Vuitton.
Dior is currently expanding and restructuring its team. Recent additions include Peter Utz, who has taken on the role of Global Director of Public Relations (Menswear and Womenswear) and is also responsible for celebrity relations, and Alberto Dalla Colletta, who joined Dior from Loewe alongside Artistic Director Jonathan Anderson. Colletta previously served as Director of Ready-to-Wear at Loewe.
Monsieur Dior Restaurant, Paris
Dior has appointed French Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno to oversee its flagship restaurant located at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris, home to the world’s first Monsieur Dior restaurant. He will also be responsible for the dessert bar La Pâtisserie (now renamed “Le Jardin”) and the café Le Café. Yannick Alléno assumed his new role on September 16.
A recognized innovator in modern cuisine, Yannick Alléno is renowned for redefining French gastronomy through his use of advanced techniques such as fermentation, extraction, and cryo-concentration to elevate sauces and capture the essence of flavor. In 2025, he became the most Michelin-starred chef in the world, with the 18 restaurants under his leadership earning a total of 17 Michelin stars. The Monsieur Dior is his 19th restaurant.
Yannick Alléno first gained prominence as head chef at Paris’s Hotel Meurice. In 2008, he launched his own restaurant, 1947, at LVMH’s Cheval Blanc Courchevel, beginning a long-standing partnership with the group.
The new menu he designed for Dior is reminiscent of a fashion collection, inspired by archival references from the brand and drawing heavily on themes of nature and florals beloved by Monsieur Dior.
Salvatore Ferragamo
Italian luxury group Salvatore Ferragamo has announced that Chief Financial Officer Pierre La Tour will step down on September 26 to pursue new career opportunities, after serving in the role for a year and a half. The company added that Paolo La Morgia, currently Director of Planning and Control (pictured below), will assume the position of interim CFO.
Since former CEO Marco Gobbetti stepped down in March this year, Ferragamo has been searching for a new leader. This leadership change comes amid a series of operational and strategic challenges, including declining demand in Asian markets and underperformance in wholesale channels. In the first half of 2025, the group posted a net loss of €16 million [approximately USD 17 million].
To address these setbacks, Ferragamo has recently launched a “priority action plan” aimed at repositioning the brand. The strategy includes streamlining the product portfolio, reducing investment in underperforming segments, and strengthening the brand’s creative direction. The company expects the positive effects of these reforms to become more apparent by the end of 2025 into 2026.
Tod’s
Italian luxury group Tod’s has appointed Marco Felci as Chief Executive Officer for the Americas.
In his new role, Marco Felci will succeed Roberto Lorenzini, who is stepping down.
Marco Felci brings over 20 years of experience in the luxury and fashion industry, particularly in the U.S. market. Before joining Tod’s, he served as Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations at Dolce & Gabbana. He began his career at Hermès Italy and later relocated to the U.S., holding senior leadership positions at Loro Piana, Lanvin, and Versace. He most recently served as CEO for the Americas at Etro.
