Mango
The eldest son of Mango founder Isak Andic, Jonathan Andic, announced in an open letter to employees on Tuesday that he will temporarily step down from his role as Executive Vice President of the Spanish fast fashion company Mango. He will, however, continue to take responsibility for “family, business and social projects” in order to focus on his legal defence.
In December 2024, Mango founder Isak Andic died after accidentally falling more than 100 metres from a cliff during a hike with his family. At the time of the incident, Jonathan Andic was the only person with him. However, as the investigation progressed, he was accused by police of allegedly murdering his father.
In his statement, Jonathan Andic wrote that the judicial proceedings require him to devote substantial time and energy to his defence, making it impossible for him to “maintain the high level of commitment required by the company.”
Jonathan Andic joined Mango in 2005, initially working in the creative and design department. In 2008, he began leading the company’s menswear line (Mango Man), became a member of the board of directors in 2012, and was appointed Executive Vice President in January 2025.
