The executive committee of French luxury giant Hermès International has announced its latest appointments. This top management body, which oversees the company’s operations, will continue to be led by Chief Executive Officer Axel Dumas. A new member, Nicolas Martin, will officially assume his role on July 1, overseeing the Legal Department, Hermès Services Group, Audit and Risk, as well as Real Estate.

Nicolas Martin joined Hermès in 2010 and currently serves as Group Secretary.

With Nicolas Martin’s appointment, Executive Vice President for Corporate Development and Social Affairs Olivier Fournier will step down from the executive committee, bringing an end to a 35-year career. However, he will remain Chairman of the Hermès Corporate Foundation.

In addition, Sharon MacBeath, who has been a member of the executive committee since 2022, will see her responsibilities expanded. Having served as Group Human Resources Director since 2019, she has now been promoted to Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Sustainability. Her new remit includes sustainability, marking the formal integration of this topic into the company’s core decision-making.

The Hermès executive committee consists of 10 members. Other members include:

Chanel

French luxury house Chanel has appointed Marie-Laure Cérède as Director of its Fine Jewelry Creation Studio.

Her predecessor, Patrice Leguéreau, passed away at the end of 2024. Marie-Laure Cérède will officially take up her role in October this year.

In her new position, Marie-Laure Cérède will oversee the strategic direction and design of all Chanel jewelry and high jewelry collections. She will coordinate the development teams in Paris and Geneva and report directly to President of Watches and Fine Jewelry Frédéric Grangié.

A graduate of ESCP Europe, Marie-Laure Cérède brings over 20 years of experience in the luxury sector, having held roles at several leading houses. She began her career at Cartier, where she served as Head of Creative Communications and Product. In 2002, she joined Harry Winston as Artistic Director of Jewelry and Watches, a role she held for 14 years. In 2016, she returned to Cartier as Creative Director of Jewelry and Watches, a position she has held until now.

Saint Laurent

Kering-owned brand Saint Laurent has appointed Anouck Duranteau-Loeper as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Effective July 1, Anouck Duranteau-Loeper will oversee product operations.

She brings extensive experience in the luxury sector. In 2016, she joined French designer brand Isabel Marant, becoming CEO in 2019, where she worked closely with the brand’s founder and liaised with its controlling shareholder, private equity firm Montefiore Fund. Earlier in her career, she held roles at McKinsey & Company, as well as at LVMH-owned brands LOEWE and CELINE. She later served as Chief Executive Officer of French fashion brand Paco Rabanne.

BVLGARI

Italian high jewelry brand BVLGARI, part of French luxury group LVMH, has appointed Stephan Kornfeld as Managing Director for Northern Europe.

Stephan Kornfeld officially assumed the role on June 1 and is responsible for the overall business across Northern Europe, covering retail and wholesale operations in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the Scandinavian region. He will “drive accelerated business expansion, continuously enhance the customer experience, and achieve sustainable brand growth.”

Stephan Kornfeld joined Bvlgari in 2021 as Retail Experience Director for Northern Europe, where he “made outstanding contributions to improving retail service standards, upgrading customer experience, and enhancing operational performance.”

Since 2009, Stephan Kornfeld has built extensive experience in the fashion and jewelry industries. Over the course of his career, he has held various management roles at brands including Louis Vuitton, Arthur Arbesser, Thomas Pink, and Repossi.
