On February 22, Swiss fragrance and flavoring giant Givaudan announced its acquisition of specific beauty ingredients from synthetic biotechnology company Amyris Inc., including the high-performance moisturizer Neossance® Squalane, plant-based silicone alternative Neossance® Hemisqualane, and sustainable sunscreen CleanScreen.
This transaction is in line with Givaudan’s 2025 strategy to offer new and outstanding products to expand the group’s active beauty business.
