Chanel Beauty
French luxury brand Chanel has appointed Simona Cattaneo as President of Fragrance and Beauty, effective in October.
With extensive experience in the beauty industry, Simona Cattaneo’s most recent role prior to joining Chanel was General Manager at Italian luxury brand Tod’s. Before that, she spent five years at U.S. beauty giant Coty Inc., where she served as President of the Luxury Brands division, establishing a high-end brand portfolio. In 2016, she joined Coty from Burberry as Chief Marketing Officer for the Luxury Brands division. She has also worked at Dior Beauty and L’Oréal Group’s Kérastase brand.
Simona Cattaneo will replace Anne Kirby, who is retiring.
L’Oréal Italia
Beauty giant L’Oréal Group’s Italian division, L’Oréal Italia has appointed Olivier Tessler as General Manager of the Luxury Division, effective October 1.
Olivier Tessler has been with L’Oréal Group for over 20 years, holding positions across various brands and markets, including over a decade in travel retail across Europe and Asia. He previously served as General Manager of the Consumer Products division in Travel Retail and was Deputy General Manager for Shu Uemura in Japan. In 2021, he moved to Italy, where he spearheaded the rapid growth of the YSL brand in the local market.
He will replace Francesco Santachiara, who is pursuing a new career path.
Beauty Industry Group
Beauty Industry Group (BIG), a leading hair solutions company under L Catterton, the world’s largest consumer-focused private equity firm, has appointed Robert Schaeffler as CEO, succeeding Derrick Porter, who is transitioning to the role of Chairman, effective immediately.
Robert Schaeffler brings over 18 years of experience in the beauty and haircare industries, with expertise in building strong brand identities, modernizing market strategies, enhancing customer and stylist experiences, and driving revenue growth for both professional and consumer brands.
His most recent role was CEO of leading hair care brand Vegamour, and prior to that, he was CEO of DevaCurl, where he led the brand through rapid growth, culminating in its acquisition by industry giant Henkel in 2019. Schaeffler has also held various leadership roles at Henkel’s professional brands division, including General Manager of Henkel Professional in North America.
M.A.C Cosmetics
M.A.C. Cosmetics, the makeup brand under Estée Lauder, has appointed Emily Bromfield as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, effective August 26.
In her new role, Emily Bromfield will help expand M.A.C’s global influence, enhance the brand’s appeal in both mature and emerging markets, and lead initiatives in storytelling, product innovation, and immersive experiences aimed at strengthening the brand’s positioning and increasing consumer engagement. She will also be a key global partner for M.A.C across all regions and affiliates.
Emily Bromfield will report directly to Aïda Moudachirou-Rébois, Senior Vice President and Global General Manager of M.A.C. Cosmetics.
With extensive experience in the beauty industry, Bromfield has worked for several emerging brands and beauty giants like L’Oréal. Prior to joining M.A.C, her most recent position was Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director at skincare brand Dr. Barbara Sturm. She was also an integral part of the founding team at beauty brand Charlotte Tilbury.
Yves Rocher
French beauty brand Yves Rocher has appointed Celia Delahalle as General Manager for Italy and Portugal, effective September 1.
In her new role, Celia Delahalle will focus on nationwide brand expansion, promoting trendy products, and driving technological innovation.
With over 20 years of managerial experience and a strong expertise in the beauty industry, Celia Delahalle joined the Rocher Group in 2002, holding various positions in the U.S., France, Mexico, and Italy markets. She previously served as Marketing Manager for Mexico and became Marketing and Communications Director for Italy in 2011. Her most recent role was Marketing and Communications Director for Italy and Portugal. She holds a Master’s in Business Management from Neoma Business School (1998) and an MBA from IESE (2013).
