Personnel Updates | Accor Appoints CEO for Greater China; New Global Brand President at Calvin Klein; New CEO at Belstaff; Executive Reshuffle at Mytheresa

Accor

French hospitality group Accor has appointed Kent Zhu as CEO of Greater China, effective May 1.

In his new role, Kent Zhu will be based in Shanghai and will oversee both the Luxury & Lifestyle (L&L) and Premium, Midscale & Economy (PM&E) brand divisions in Greater China. He will lead Accor’s development strategy in the region, manage relationships with hotel owners, and drive the progress of Accor’s strategic partnerships.

A distinguished leader in the global hotel industry, Kent Zhu is known for his sharp market insights and transformational leadership style. He brings extensive experience across commercial management, brand development, marketing, and operations. He has previously worked in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing, gaining deep expertise in the Chinese market and culture.

Before joining Accor, Kent served as President of Genting Cruise Lines, where he successfully led the company to become a market leader in the Asia-Pacific cruise sector. He also held roles at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Wanda Hotels & Resorts.

Calvin Klein / PVH Corp.

U.S. fashion retail group Phillips-Van Heusen Corp. (PVH Corp.) has appointed David Savman as Global Brand President of its Calvin Klein label.

In his new position, David Savman will work closely with the global Calvin Klein team to further strengthen the brand’s capabilities in product, marketing, and market presence, helping to realize its vision. He succeeds Eva Serrano, who will stay on through the end of the year in an advisory role to support the transition.

Savman joined PVH in 2022 and has played a pivotal role in aligning the company’s global brand, commercial teams, and operating models, drawing on decades of experience leading product-centric organizations. Most recently, he served as PVH’s Global Chief Operating Officer and Chief Supply Chain Officer, and in 2024 also took on the role of Interim CEO for PVH Europe. He will retain his current roles until a successor is appointed.

Belstaff

British motorcycle-inspired apparel brand Belstaff has promoted Chief Operating Officer Kerry Byrne to Chief Executive Officer, effective April.

In her new role, Kerry Byrne will continue to lead the company toward sustainable profitability.

Byrne joined Belstaff in 2021 as Head of Merchandising and was promoted to her current position in August 2024. She previously held positions at Cath Kidston and Arcadia Group Ltd.

Mytheresa

Luxury e-commerce group LuxExperience has announced executive changes at its subsidiary Mytheresa:

  • Simon Tweed has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer, succeeding Richard Johnson, who has been appointed Chief Business Officer of LuxExperience.

  • Dominik Lass has been promoted to Chief Growth and Venue Management Officer, taking over from Gareth Lock, who is now LuxExperience’s Chief Data and Digital Officer.

  • Tiffany Hsu will continue to serve as Chief Buying Officer, leading the buying team and strategies across all categories. She will also serve as Fashion Investment Officer for the LuxExperience Group, guiding collaborations with emerging fashion brands.

In his new role, Simon Tweed will be responsible for the overall commercial strategy of all Mytheresa categories, including buying and marketing, to drive continued growth. Tweed previously served as VP of Merchandising and Sustainability. He joined Mytheresa in 2016 as Interim Retail and Marketing Manager, having held prior management positions at Selfridges, Joy, and Yoox.

Dominik Lass, in his expanded role, will now also oversee performance marketing. As Vice President, he previously managed store experience, venue management, and project management. Before joining Mytheresa in 2015, he held managerial positions at Planet Sports and Peek & Cloppenburg.

Additionally, Chief Marketing and Customer Officer Amber Pepper, Chief Creative Officer Julian Paul, and LuxExperience Group CEO Michael Kliger will remain in their current roles. Kliger will also continue to serve as the “interim” CEO of the Mytheresa brand.
