Chantecaille

German personal care giant Beiersdorf announced that Tennille Kopiasz has succeeded Emily Coleman as the new CEO of its botanical beauty brand Chantecaille, effective September 3.

She will report directly to Oswald Barckhahn, member of Beiersdorf’s Executive Board, who oversees the company’s cosmetics business in Europe and North America, as well as the La Prairie and Chantecaille brands.

Tennille Kopiasz graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York and has more than 25 years of experience in beauty marketing. Early in her career, she worked at L’Oréal Group for 15 years before joining Coty as Senior Vice President of Marketing for its Luxury division in North America. She later moved to LVMH, where she served as Global Chief Marketing Officer of Fresh and Senior Vice President of Marketing for Dior Beauty North America.

Before joining Chantecaille, she was CEO of the Cornell Capital-owned brands FEKKAI and Bastide. In addition, Kopiasz teaches leadership as an adjunct professor at FIT.

Proya

On June 16, Proya Cosmetics announced two new appointments:

  • Guo Xiao as Chief Marketing Officer

  • Xue Xia as Board Secretary

Guo Xiao has over a decade of experience in the consumer sector, having previously served as Marketing Head at AFU Essential Oils, Chief Marketing Officer at Pop Mart, and Chief Marketing Officer at Beneunder. She has extensive expertise in corporate strategy transformation, brand upgrading, product innovation, and private domain operations. At Proya, she is expected to leverage her cross-industry and cross-category experience to drive consumer insights, brand elevation, market trend analysis, innovative marketing strategies, and overseas expansion planning, further strengthening the company’s marketing system and global strategy, and accelerating the brand’s breakthrough growth.

Xue Xia, a Chinese national with no permanent residence abroad, graduated from the School of Management at Xi’an Jiaotong University. She has held roles including financial management at the Greater China Finance Center of IBM/Lenovo International Information Products (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., expert analyst at the Asia-Pacific Business Center of ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co., Ltd., and board secretary at both Zhejiang Red Dragonfly Footwear Co., Ltd. and Luolai Lifestyle Technology Co., Ltd.

Givaudan

On August 27, international fragrance and flavor company Givaudan announced its CEO and Chairman succession plan:

  • After 20 years as CEO, Gilles Andrier will retire in March 2026 and will be nominated as Chairman of the Board at the 2026 Annual General Meeting.

  • Christian Stammkoetter, currently President of Danone’s Asia, Middle East, and Africa region, has been appointed as Givaudan’s new CEO, effective March 1, 2026.

  • Current Chairman Calvin Grieder will step down from the Board at the 2026 Annual General Meeting after serving 12 years as Chairman.

Gilles Andrier has worked at Givaudan for over 30 years. During his 20-year tenure as CEO, from late 2004 to the end of 2024, the company’s workforce grew from 5,900 to 16,900 employees, sales nearly tripled from CHF 2.7 billion to over CHF 7.4 billion, and market capitalization rose from CHF 5.8 billion to CHF 36.6 billion.

Christian Stammkoetter brings more than 25 years of global FMCG experience across personal care, food, beverage, and nutrition, covering multiple regions. He has an exceptional track record in driving sustainable growth and value creation, leading high-performance teams, and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity. The Board believes he will continue to ensure Givaudan’s long-term success and deliver value to all stakeholders.

Ulta Beauty

US beauty retailer Ulta Beauty has appointed Martin Brok and Stephenie Landry to its Board of Directors as members of the Audit and Compensation Committees, effective September 1, 2025.

Martin Brok is the former Global President and CEO of Sephora, President of Starbucks EMEA, Global Chief Operating Officer of Nike DTC, and has also held senior roles at Burger King and Coca-Cola, overseeing international business across Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in international business from Georgia State University and completed the Harvard Business School General Management Program.

Brok also serves on the boards of Revlon, Oatly, END. Clothing, Poke House, Qorium, and others.

Stephenie Landry (pictured below) previously held leadership roles at Amazon, including Vice President of Global Grocery, Vice President of Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Online, and Vice President of Prime Now. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

With these appointments, Ulta Beauty’s Board of Directors now consists of 12 members.

Trinny London

British beauty brand Trinny London has appointed Michelle Marks as Chief Marketing Officer. She joined the brand in June this year, following her role as Global Digital Brand Director at Charlotte Tilbury.

In her new role, Michelle Marks will oversee the refinement of Trinny London’s narrative strategy and support the brand’s expansion into the US market.

Marks, a graduate of the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, previously held senior positions at Sony Music Entertainment’s SYCO Entertainment and at Meta, where she served as Creative Strategy Director for EMEA and Head of Creative Shop Innovation Studio for EMEA and APAC.

Founded in 2017 by British fashion presenter Trinny Woodall, Trinny London initially operated as a direct-to-consumer online business before opening its first flagship store in London last year. In fiscal year 2024, the brand’s sales grew 25% year-over-year to reach USD 94 million.
