Personnel Updates | COACH Appoints President of China; Executive Changes at Dsquared2, Geox, Drest, and More

Tapestry, the New York-based modern luxury accessories and lifestyle brand company (NYSE: TPR), announced the appointment of Liliana Lucioni as the President of its flagship brand COACH in China, effective March 1, 2024.

In her new role, Liliana Lucioni will be responsible for COACH’s long-term strategy and business growth plans in China. Yann Bozec, the former President of Tapestry Asia Pacific and President & CEO of COACH China, will continue to serve as the President of Tapestry Asia Pacific and will also assume the role of President & CEO of COACH Asia Pacific, based in Shanghai. Liliana Lucioni will report to Yann Bozec.

Tapestry stated that this appointment will create more resource space for group leaders to further support the brand’s long-term development in various regions while also strengthening COACH’s growth strategy in China and the Asia Pacific region.

Liliana Lucioni joined COACH in February 2019 as Vice President of Product Merchandising for Asia. Based in China, she has over 20 years of experience in the luxury and fashion industry. Before joining COACH, she held positions at luxury and fashion brands such as Saint Laurent and Prada. Liliana Lucioni holds a degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Beijing Language and Culture University and Fudan University.

Furthermore, Tapestry also announced that Kevin Hourican and David Elkins have joined the group’s board of directors. Kevin Hourican is currently the President and CEO of the global supply chain giant Sysco Corporation. David Elkins is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the global pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb.

Dsquared2

Foreign media reports that Ennio Fontana, who joined the Italian designer brand Dsquared2 as CEO in March last year, is set to leave. This news has not yet been officially confirmed by the brand.

A graduate of the University of Passau in Germany with a degree in Business Economics, Fontana served as the General Manager of Roberto Cavalli from October 2020 to February 2023 before joining Dsquared2. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at major luxury groups such as Tod’s and Philipp Plein.

During his tenure at Dsquared2, Ennio Fontana’s main goal was to strengthen the brand’s international business expansion and to deepen its presence in existing markets.

Geox

The Italian casual footwear brand Geox has appointed Enrico Mistron as CEO, succeeding Livio Libralesso, who will leave at the end of this month.

Enrico Mistron recently founded his consulting company E-MC. Before that, he worked for 25 years at the eyewear giant Luxottica, holding several executive positions including Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Officer, Senior Vice President of Group Supply Chain, and Group Operations Director.

Additionally, Geox announced that Andrea Maldi will join as Chief Financial Officer. He has held similar positions at companies such as General Electric, the Italian Stock Exchange, and Fiera Milano.

Drest

Drest, the London-based luxury fashion gaming company, announced the appointment of Daniel Svärd as Co-CEO, who will serve in this position alongside the company’s co-founder Lucy Yeomans. Another co-founder, Graham Edwards, will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board.

In his new role, Daniel Svärd will “work closely with leading luxury content strategist Yeomans, who will focus on Drest’s strategic product, partnerships, brand communications, and creative development.”

Daniel Svärd was previously the General Manager of the popular game “Candy Crush Soda Saga” and has held senior positions at Betfair and Bwin.

Additionally, DREST appointed Chris Wright, a veteran with over 30 years of experience in the gaming industry, as interim Chief Technology Officer, succeeding Martin Robaszewski who left in December last year.

DREST plans to launch the next generation of the DREST game in October this year, aiming to “elevate the interaction between the real world and luxury fashion and lifestyle to an unprecedented level, including real-time narrative missions, in-game live special events, and exclusive brand virtual journeys, consolidating its leading position in the fashion gaming field.”
