Personnel Updates | Inditex Restructures Executive Team; Condé Nast China Appoints GM from Moncler; Leica Names Chief Marketing Officer

Inditex

Spanish fashion giant Inditex, parent company of Zara, has announced a series of executive changes:

  • Former Head of Risk Management Fernando de Bunes Ibarra has been appointed Director of Sustainability, succeeding Javier Losada.

  • Former Chief Financial Officer Ignacio Fernández Fernández will serve as General Manager, responsible for finance, sustainability, logistics, transport, and infrastructure.

  • Andrés Sánchez Iglesias, who previously led the tax department, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer.

Both Ignacio Fernández Fernández and Andrés Sánchez Iglesias will join Inditex’s Executive Committee.

Condé Nast

Condé Nast has appointed Sherry Lang as Managing Director of China, effective June 9.

In her new role, Lang will oversee operations in the company’s Beijing and Shanghai offices, including the iconic titles published under licensing agreements: Vogue China, Condé Nast Traveler China, and AD China.

Lang brings a strategic vision and strong digital expertise, with a career spanning the fashion luxury, e-commerce, and consumer tech sectors. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Digital Marketing for Asia-Pacific at Italian luxury brand Moncler, where she led the company’s digital transformation and brand strategy in the region. Prior to Moncler, she held senior roles at Alibaba Group, including Managing Director of Tmall Luxury and General Manager of Alipay’s European operations.

Elizabeth Herbst-Brady, Chief Revenue Officer at Condé Nast, stated: “Sherry is a dynamic and forward-thinking leader who brings together expertise in luxury, technology, and media. In a market as important as China, she will play a pivotal role in driving our business strategy and deepening our relationships with clients and consumers. I am thrilled to welcome her and look forward to shaping Condé Nast’s future in China together.” Lang will report directly to Herbst-Brady.

Before her time at Moncler and Alibaba, Lang held leadership positions at Ogilvy, Lane Crawford, and eBay.

The Lycra Company

The Lycra Company, a provider of sustainable fiber and technology solutions, has promoted Melissa Riggs to Chief Marketing Officer.

Currently the Marketing Director for North America, Riggs will take on the new role at the company’s Delaware headquarters. She will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of branding and marketing initiatives to support business goals and growth strategies.

Riggs brings more than 20 years of brand-building experience in the consumer packaged goods, apparel, and footwear industries, including work with the GORE-TEX brand. Before joining Lycra in 2022, she spent 11 years at Molson Coors Beverage Company specializing in co-marketing and distributor market planning. She holds a master’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston.
