LOEWE
French luxury group LVMH has appointed designer duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez as the new Creative Directors of LOEWE, effective April 7.
In their new roles, McCollough and Hernandez will be fully responsible for the creative direction of all womenswear, menswear, leather goods, and accessories collections at LOEWE.
The two designers are the founders of American fashion brand Proenza Schouler. On January 31 this year, they stepped down as Creative Directors of the brand they founded, retaining only their roles as shareholders and board members. McCollough and Hernandez met while studying at Parsons School of Design in New York. Their collaborative graduation project was entirely purchased by luxury department store Barneys New York, leading to the founding of Proenza Schouler, a name formed by combining their mothers’ maiden names. During their tenure, the designers and their brand received multiple fashion design awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
