Personnel Updates | LOEWE Creative Director Resigns, Moncler’s Global Chief Client Officer Joins from Audemars Piguet

Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of LOEWE, a brand under French luxury conglomerate LVMH, has announced his departure after 11 years in the role. His next move has yet to be disclosed.

In 2013, at the age of just 29, Jonathan Anderson was appointed Creative Director of LOEWE and successfully led the brand through a period of accelerated growth. According to recently released figures for fiscal year 2023, the brand’s net sales rose by 27.5% to €789 million, while net profit grew by 62.5% year-on-year to €207 million.

Analysts estimate that the brand’s net sales could surpass €1 billion in 2024.

In a statement, LOEWE said: “Jonathan Anderson has led us through extraordinary growth, positioning the brand at the forefront of modern luxury fashion and cultural expression, all while maintaining a longstanding commitment to craftsmanship.”

Moncler

Italian luxury brand Moncler has appointed Marco Viganò as Global Chief Client Officer and President of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.

Marco Viganò brings extensive experience in the luxury sector. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at high-end watchmaker Audemars Piguet for approximately three years. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles at Saint Laurent, including President of the Asia-Pacific region and later Chief Operating Officer.

Viganò also previously served as Director of Emerging Markets and General Manager for Russia at Gucci, and held management positions at Louis Vuitton, including Eastern Europe Manager and Director of Retail Performance Development.

He holds a degree in Economics and Business from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. His career began at McKinsey & Company, and he has also held roles at major groups such as L’Oréal and Citibank.

Vince

John Szczepanski, Chief Financial Officer of American fashion retailer Vince Holding Corp., is stepping down to pursue new opportunities, effective March 28.

Yuji Okumura, currently Vice President and Controller, will assume the role of interim CFO. Okumura joined the company in 2018 as Director of Financial Reporting and previously worked for over 11 years at accounting firm KPMG US.

Szczepanski took on the CFO position in November 2023 and led the company through a transformative period that resulted in profit growth.
