Personnel Updates | Pharrell Williams’ Personal Brand CEO from Off-White, Announces New Funding

Pharrell Williams, the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton Men’s and American hip-hop superstar, has appointed Andrea Grilli as CEO of his personal brand, Humanrace, effective immediately.

In this new role, Andrea Grilli will succeed Rachel Muscat, who co-founded the brand with Pharrell Williams in 2020.

Andrea Grilli’s most recent position was CEO of Off-White, and he is also a co-founder and former CEO of the Italian multi-brand group New Guards Group (NGG).

Along with the announcement of this new appointment, Humanrace also revealed it has received a new round of growth investment from London-based investment company One Luxury Group.

Kering

French luxury giant Kering has appointed Tenley Zinke as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Community Relations for the Americas, replacing the departing Kate Babb Shone.

In her new role, Tenley Zinke will be based in New York and report to Laurent Claquin, Kering’s Global Chief Brand Officer, and Ewa M. Abrams, President of Kering Americas.

Tenley Zinke was most recently the founder and CEO of the strategic communications and consulting firm Just Thinking Consulting. Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Fendi Americas and held roles as Global Director of Public Relations, Strategy, and Development at Tiffany & Co. She has also held PR management positions at brands like Net-a-Porter, Polo Ralph Lauren, Celine, Christian Lacroix, Kenzo, and Loewe.

Alberta Ferretti

Italian luxury group Aeffe Group has appointed Lorenzo Serafini as Creative Director of its brand Alberta Ferretti, succeeding the brand’s founder.

Lorenzo Serafini joined Aeffe Group in 2014 as Creative Director of the brand Philosophy and previously worked at Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana.

Along with the appointment announcement, Aeffe Group also stated that it had reached a mutual decision with Lorenzo Serafini to incorporate the Philosophy line into Alberta Ferretti from the Fall/Winter 2025 collection onwards, in response to current market demands.

The first Alberta Ferretti collection under Lorenzo Serafini’s direction will be unveiled in February 2025.

Tanya Taylor

New York-based women’s fashion brand Tanya Taylor has appointed Adrianne Kirszner as its first-ever CEO.

Adrianne Kirszner will replace the brand’s founder and namesake, Tanya Taylor, who will continue as Executive Chairwoman and Creative Director, focusing on creative guidance and design.

Before joining the brand, Adrianne Kirszner served as President of Kate Spade North America, overseeing stores, e-commerce, and wholesale channels. She also held leadership positions at Coach, Ann Taylor, and Victoria’s Secret Beauty.

Robert Talbott

American luxury lifestyle brand Robert Talbott has appointed James Watson as Senior Vice President of Brand Development.

With over two decades of experience in multi-channel retail and luxury brand positioning, James Watson’s leadership is expected to strengthen Robert Talbott’s standing. “His strategic vision and commitment to innovation will play a crucial role in the brand’s continued growth,” the brand stated in its press release.

Founded in 1950 in Carmel, California, Robert Talbott specializes in producing classic luxury men’s ties and shirts, along with a full range of casual wear including suits, sweaters, pants, knitwear, and accessories.

In 2022, Newtimes Group, a company specializing in apparel, accessories, and home products procurement, product development, and supply chain management, acquired the financially troubled Robert Talbott brand through a bankruptcy auction in 2021. The brand relaunched in 2023 with a renewed focus on design updates and the recruitment of experienced management. In March this year, Sebastian Dollinger was appointed Creative Director.

Wolf

British watch and jewelry accessory brand Wolf has appointed Alban Feunteun as Sales Manager for the Spanish market.

In his new position, Alban Feunteun will support the brand’s international operations and focus on expanding its customer network in Spain.

Alban Feunteun has many years of experience in the luxury fashion industry, having most recently worked as Sales Manager for Chanel Fragrance and Beauty in Spain. Prior to that, he served as a cross-border distribution specialist for Business France, focusing on Spain and France.
