Under Armour

U.S. sportswear brand Under Armour has announced new executive appointments:

  • Reza Taleghani will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective February 2026.

  • Carol Chen has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Greater China region, effective November 9.

Reza Taleghani will succeed David Bergman, a 21-year company veteran, who will remain through Q1 of fiscal year 2027 to ensure a smooth transition.

Taleghani brings over 25 years of global experience in finance and operations leadership. He previously served as Executive Vice President and CFO at Samsonite Group S.A. since 2018, overseeing global finance, accounting, investor relations, treasury, internal audit, and M&A. His past roles also include executive positions at SoftBank portfolio company Brightstar Corp., J.P. Morgan, and Sterling Airlines A/S.

Carol Chen brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning Greater China, Asia, and the U.S., having held executive positions at various multinational corporations. She has deep market insight into China and a proven track record in strategic planning, digital transformation, comprehensive business management, and building high-performance teams. In her new role, she will oversee strategic planning and business operations in the Chinese market.

Haglöfs

Swedish outdoor apparel and gear brand Haglöfs has appointed Andreas Lorenz as its new CEO, effective immediately.

He succeeds Martin Daniels, who stepped down after a mutual agreement with the company, having served since August last year.

Previously Chief Commercial Officer at Haglöfs, Lorenz brings over 25 years of experience in the consumer goods industry. He was formerly with McKinsey & Company, and also held leadership roles at Adidas and On Running.

This leadership change coincides with the company’s restructuring of its sales operations in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). Daniel Tseung, Chairman of the Board at Haglöfs AB and Founder of LionRock Capital (which became majority owner of Haglöfs in early 2024), commented:
“Our business momentum is strong, especially in the Chinese Mainland, where early results have exceeded even our most optimistic expectations. Andreas is an exceptional leader and the right person to guide us through this pivotal stage of growth.”

Reebok

U.S.-based brand management firm Authentic Brands Group (ABG) has named Daniel Schachnel as Senior Vice President of its sports brand Reebok.

Schachnel was previously General Manager of the North America Pro Sports division under Nike’s Jordan brand, where he led basketball operations and helped expand the brand’s presence in golf and cleated footwear.

In his new role, he will lead Reebok’s global growth strategy and collaborate closely with licensing partners, retailers, and brand ambassadors to deepen the brand’s focus across sports and culture worldwide.

Earlier in his career, Schachnel held roles at Nike and the National Basketball Association (NBA), with experience spanning strategic planning, business development, partner management, and international operations.

Helly Hansen / Kontoor Brands

U.S.-based denim company Kontoor Brands has appointed Børre Hegbom as Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader for Helly Hansen, effective immediately.

Hegbom will be responsible for executing Helly Hansen’s overall business strategy to drive growth, leading the brand’s global sportswear and workwear segments. As part of the executive leadership team, he will report to Kontoor Brands President, CEO, and Chairman Scott Baxter.

With over 20 years of experience at Helly Hansen, Hegbom has steadily advanced through the ranks, most recently serving as Managing Director of the sportswear business. During his tenure, he drove significant category growth and helped establish the brand as a key player in the outdoor and performance apparel market.

Scott Baxter stated, “Børre has a proven track record of driving profitable growth and a strong understanding of what fuels consumer demand for the Helly Hansen brand. He is the ideal leader for this role and will accelerate the execution of our investment strategy for Helly Hansen.”

Bridgestone Golf

Golf equipment manufacturer Bridgestone Golf has named Jeremy Galbreth as Vice President of Sales.

Galbreth will oversee all sales channels, including on- and off-course retail, national accounts, e-commerce, and corporate sales.

Previously Senior Director of Golf at Mizuno, Galbreth joined the company in 2010 as a regional manager.

Dan Murphy, President and CEO of Bridgestone Golf, said:
“We’re excited to welcome Jeremy to the team as we prepare to launch a series of outstanding new products. His deep industry knowledge and proven sales leadership make him a perfect fit as we drive business growth and innovation into 2026 and beyond.”

Bridgestone Golf is headquartered in Covington, Georgia, and owns both the Bridgestone and Precept brands, specializing in premium golf balls, clubs, and accessories.

Niner Bikes

U.S. bicycle manufacturer Niner Bikes has appointed Armando “Mondo” Aguilera as Brand Manager.

Aguilera is one of the company’s longest-tenured employees, having joined in February 2012 in an operations role. Notably, he was responsible for packing and transporting the company’s belongings when it moved from a garage-sized office in California to its current headquarters in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 2013, he transitioned into the brand’s sales team as a factory sales and demo representative for the Northwest region. He was promoted to National Sales Manager in 2018 and most recently held the role of International and Western Regional Sales Manager.

Founded in 2005 by Chris Sugai and Steve Domahidy, Niner Bikes is a pioneer in the cycling industry, known for high-performance design and exceptional ride experiences. Its product lineup includes mountain bikes, gravel bikes, and electric mountain bikes (eMTBs). The company faced significant challenges, including filing for bankruptcy protection in 2017, and was later acquired by United Wheels HK Ltd. in 2018.
