U.S. Performance Running Brand Brooks Reports 14% Growth in Global Revenue in H1, with Asia-Pacific Sales Up 10%

8月 17, 2026

On 12 August, U.S. performance running brand Brooks announced its results for the first half ended 30 June, with revenue up 14% year-on-year, driven primarily by sustained strong demand for footwear, apparel and accessories across regions and channels. Revenue in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market increased 10% year-on-year.

Brooks said that following its best-ever first-quarter performance, the company also delivered a record-breaking second quarter.

In the first half, Brooks grew 9% year-on-year in the Americas, while growth in international markets accelerated further. Revenue rose 39% in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and 10% in Asia-Pacific.

Dan Sheridan, CEO of Brooks Running, said, “Around the globe, running continues to play an increasingly important role for people prioritizing health and wellness in their lives. At Brooks, we aim to give runners the very best product and experiences to pursue that. Our first-half results reflect that focus and the incredible work of our teams globally.”

Brooks’ growth comes against the backdrop of the continued expansion of the global running market. In 2025, the market grew 10% year-on-year to US$43 billion, with growth recorded across all regions.

In Europe, Brooks outpaced the local performance running footwear market in France, where the category grew 11% in the second quarter. In Germany, Brooks maintained the No. 1 position in the adult performance running footwear segment priced at EUR90 and above, with the category’s three best-selling styles all coming from Brooks.

In the U.S. specialty retail footwear channel – the most demanding segment of the running category – Brooks held the No. 1 position for the sixth consecutive month, further widening its market share lead on a rolling 12-month basis. The brand’s leadership in the specialty running channel was further reinforced by a recent survey from U.S. specialty running retailer Fleet Feet, which once again ranked Brooks as its No. 1 vendor. This marks the 11th consecutive year that the brand has received the top rating for best-in-class execution across product, marketing, operations and sales.

Brooks attributed its growth to:

– Growth driven by core franchises and emerging categories

The Adrenaline GTS franchise celebrated its 25th anniversary, with second-quarter sales rising 19% year-on-year, underscoring continued strong demand for the iconic stability running shoe. During the quarter, Brooks also launched the latest iteration of its popular road-running shoe, the Ghost 18 (pictured below). Trail running was a particular standout, with second-quarter trail footwear sales surging 71% year-on-year, driven by the Ghost Trail franchise and the Cascadia line, the latter of which grew 58% during the quarter.

In apparel, Brooks continued to build momentum through its Movement collection and the new PR Elite collection, while established lines including Luxe and Chaser also delivered steady revenue. Accessories, another category Brooks continues to expand, recorded a 29% year-on-year increase in second-quarter sales. Brooks also maintained a dominant position on Fleet Feet’s best-selling sports bra ranking, with five of the top 10 styles coming from the brand.

During Paris Fashion Week in June, Brooks showcased its lifestyle running footwear strategy through the RE: Innovation Studio. The space highlighted the brand’s craftsmanship, performance heritage and vision for an active lifestyle beyond running. A key highlight was the Glycerin 12, a modern performance reinterpretation of a Brooks classic featuring the brand’s proprietary Loft V3 midsole cushioning technology and 5D Fit Print upper technology. Also on display was the new Brooks Vanguard, combining a retro 1970s low-profile silhouette with Loft V2 cushioning technology. By bringing together vintage design and performance credentials, Brooks’ emerging lifestyle footwear category continued to gain momentum, with growth approaching triple digits in the second quarter.

– Brooks athletes continue to push the limits of performance

World champion middle-distance runner and Brooks athlete Josh Kerr broke the 27-year-old men’s mile world record at the London Diamond League, clocking 3:42.66, demonstrating the heights that can be reached when elite athletic performance meets technological innovation. In road racing, Jess McClain was the top American woman at the Boston Marathon, setting a new race record for an American woman with a finishing time of 2:20:49; Clayton Young raced in Brooks gear for the first time, setting a personal best of 2:05:41 to finish as the third American man. In trail and mountain running, Anna Gibson claimed her third Broken Arrow Ascent title and set a new course record; Chris Myers won the Mt. Fuji 100; and Des Linden finished third overall at the Marathon des Sables in the Sahara Desert.

In the second quarter, Brooks continued to invest in the future of running by signing several promising athletes and supporting youth competitions. New athlete signings included:

  • Chinese men’s 800m national record holder Xi Xiaoheng (pictured below)
  • Sanu Jallow-Lockhart, who broke the women’s 800m record at the 2026 NCAA Championships
  • Gary Martin, the eighth-fastest American miler in history and a collegiate distance medley relay (DMR) champion

In addition, the 15th Brooks PR Invitational national high school track meet saw multiple records broken, with 96 of the 280 athletes recording personal bests, underscoring Brooks’ long-term commitment to nurturing the next generation of runners.

– Alongside runners at the moments that matter most

In the second quarter, Brooks continued to bring its global brand platform “Let’s Run There” to life, accompanying runners at major running events around the world. During the Boston Marathon in April, Brooks welcomed runners from around the world at Hyperion House, located near the iconic finish line, and introduced its first Mile 0 activation, providing race essentials and other supplies for participants. One week later, Brooks opened its first brand experience space for the London Marathon at landmark cultural venue The Outernet, partnering with MBE recipient, actor, singer and creator Cynthia Erivo as she pursued a personal best at her hometown marathon. Coached by Brooks athlete Erika Kemp, Erivo achieved a personal best of 3:21:40, while positive social sentiment towards the brand rose by 15 percentage points over the race weekend.

In May, Brooks provided endurance athlete Arda Saatci with a full range of gear to support his 377-mile ultradistance challenge from Death Valley to Santa Monica. Saatci completed the feat in 123 hours. The livestream set a viewership record on Twitch in Germany, while a combined 2.9 million viewers across YouTube, TikTok, Red Bull TV and Twitch watched him cross the finish line, inspiring audiences around the world to rethink the limits of what can be achieved through sport.
