German sportswear brand Puma has appointed Steve Cecchini as Senior Vice President Sports Marketing, effective October 1.

In his new role, Steve Cecchini will further develop Puma’s sports marketing organisation, building and managing partnerships that align with the brand’s positioning. His work will focus on athletes, teams and sports federations, bringing the Puma brand to life globally and strengthening its position in the sports market. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Arthur Hoeld.

Steve Cecchini previously worked at Nike, where his most recent role was General Manager of Global Football Clubs, Federations, Leagues and Partnerships. During his tenure, he managed a number of complex, long-term partnerships, while also leading the development and execution of product, marketing and marketplace strategies for the business. Earlier in his career, he held several strategy and business development roles at Nike and PVH Corp.

Burton

American snowboarding brand Burton has appointed Denny Bruce as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 21.

In his new role, Denny Bruce will be responsible for shaping the company’s commercial strategy and driving growth, while safeguarding the brand’s snowboarding heritage. He will succeed interim Chief Executive Officer Donna Carpenter, widow of founder Jake Burton Carpenter, who will continue to serve as Chair of the Board.

Denny Bruce brings extensive experience across wholesale, DTC and global distribution. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of outdoor cooking brand Gozney, where he led the company’s transformation from a Europe-focused DTC business into a global brand. Bruce previously served as Burton’s Mid-Atlantic Brand Manager from 2003 to 2005. After leaving Burton, he held senior management positions at Vans, Skullcandy and Traeger, before serving as Global Brand President of Dickies, part of VF Corp.

Fanatics Collectibles

Fanatics, the world’s largest retailer of licensed sports merchandise, has appointed Zohar Ravid to the newly created role of President, International at Fanatics Collectibles.

In his new role, Zohar Ravid will lead Fanatics Collectibles’ global operations, executing the company’s partnerships across entertainment IP, sports federations and global leagues in Asia-Pacific (APAC), Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Latin America (LATAM). He will report directly to David Leiner, President of Trading Cards at Fanatics Collectibles.

Zohar Ravid joined Fanatics in July 2018, initially serving as Head of Strategy & M&A at Fanatics International. He subsequently held several roles, including Senior Vice President, General Manager and Head of Corporate Development at Fanatics International, and Senior Vice President, Head of Global Corporate Development. Zohar Ravid holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
