Rémy Cointreau

The board of directors of French group Rémy Cointreau has appointed Franck Marilly as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Éric Vallat, effective June 25, 2025.

Upon assuming his new role, Franck Marilly will lead the group in advancing its value strategy, focusing on developing and implementing new innovations to enhance the appeal of its brand portfolio. He will also consolidate its position in key markets while exploring new opportunities.

With over 30 years of experience in the luxury and beauty industries, Franck Marilly most recently served as President of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region at Japanese beauty group Shiseido Company. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Chanel’s fragrance and beauty division in Europe. He has held multiple leadership roles at Chanel, including Senior Vice President of Fashion in New York and Managing Director of France. Earlier in his career, he held various management positions at Unilever.

A graduate of EDC Paris Business School, Marilly has served as a board member of the Fédération des Entreprises de la Beauté (FEBEA) since 2011 and of the Franco-Japanese Exchange Committee since 2018. In February 2025, he was appointed as a Foreign Trade Advisor to the French government.

Canada Goose

Canada Goose has appointed Celine Xie as President of China, responsible for overseeing the brand’s direct-to-consumer operations in the Chinese Mainland. She will be based in Shanghai and report to Jonathan Sinclair, President of Canada Goose APAC.

Celine Xie brings exceptional omnichannel brand management and strategic execution capabilities to the role. With over 15 years of leadership experience at Inditex, one of the world’s leading fashion retail groups, she has held several key positions across Greater China. Before joining Canada Goose, she served as Vice President and Managing Director of the Central and Southern China region for Inditex, driving strategic coordination and executional excellence. She previously held senior management roles at ZARA Greater China, overseeing retail, e-commerce, and marketing operations.

Jonathan Sinclair, President of Canada Goose APAC, stated: “Celine is a visionary leader with deep operational expertise and an ability to integrate global brand strategies with local market dynamics. Her keen insights into the Chinese market and pragmatic leadership make her the ideal person to lead the next chapter of our brand’s journey in China.”

Commenting on her new role, Celine Xie said: “I’m honored to join Canada Goose at such a pivotal time in the brand’s development in China. The brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, performance, and sustainability strongly resonates with Chinese consumers. I look forward to working with the team to elevate our presence and unlock new growth opportunities in the market.”

This appointment reflects Canada Goose’s continued efforts to strengthen its local leadership team since entering the Chinese market in 2018. Today, Canada Goose operates its largest global retail network in Greater China, with more than 25 standalone stores. The brand continues to expand its positioning, retail and digital networks, and product matrix, while also progressing its localized ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives. Under Celine Xie’s leadership, the brand will further enhance its market impact through culturally relevant storytelling and brand experiences.

Burberry

Andrew Roberts, Head of Corporate Affairs at British luxury brand Burberry, has stepped down.

Roberts joined Burberry in 2016 and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Engagement. In this role, he was responsible for internal communications and corporate policy development and supported the executive team in its interactions with the media, public, and markets.

Prior to Burberry, he worked as a journalist for Bloomberg’s Paris bureau, covering the global luxury industry. He also served at WWD’s Milan bureau, reporting on fashion and luxury, and previously worked with the Associated Press in Milan and Rome. A graduate of the University of Oxford, he began his career at WPP in London.

Marc Jacobs

Robert Rizzolo, Chief Merchandising Officer of American fashion brand Marc Jacobs under the French luxury group LVMH, has left the company.

Rizzolo joined Marc Jacobs in July 2021. Before that, he was Vice President of Global Merchandising at Michael Kors. He has also held merchandising roles at Gucci and buyer and planning positions at Burberry, Calvin Klein, and Gap.

Barovier&Toso

Luxury home furnishings brand Barovier&Toso has appointed designer Luca Nichetto as its Artistic Director.

The two parties began working together in 2022, with Nichetto designing the brand’s first piece, the Vallonné chandelier. In 2023, he also designed Barovier&Toso’s boutique on Calle Larga XXII Marzo in Venice.

Born and raised on the island of Murano in Venice, Luca Nichetto was immersed in the art of glassmaking from an early age — his grandfather was a craftsman of Venetian crystal chandeliers, and his mother a glass decorator.

As a young man, Nichetto was a semi-professional basketball player before pursuing industrial design at university. In 2006, he founded his own design firm, Nichetto Studio, and has since collaborated with numerous renowned brands such as Hermès, Cassina, Steinway & Sons, and Ginori 1735.

Barovier&Toso was formed in 1936 through the merger of two glassmakers, Barovier and Toso. The Barovier lineage traces back to Jacobello Barovier, who founded the workshop in 1295, making the brand over 800 years old.
