Jack Wolfskin
Anta Group has appointed John Yao as CEO of the recently acquired German outdoor specialist brand Jack Wolfskin, effective July 1.
John Yao most recently served as President of Greater China at Amer Sports, the Finnish sporting goods group under Anta Group. He played a key role in driving the expansion of Amer Sports’ business and organizational scale in Greater China, helping it become a leading sports company in the market.
Yao brings extensive experience in the sports industry, with over 20 years of international brand operations. Prior to joining Amer Sports, he spent more than a decade at Nike Greater China and also served as General Manager of The North Face China.
Amer Sports
On June 17, Anta Group’s Finnish sporting goods subsidiary, Amer Sports, appointed Jeffery Ma as President of Greater China and a member of the global leadership team, effective July 1.
Jeffery Ma will be based in Shanghai and succeeds John Yao, who has taken on the CEO role at Jack Wolfskin.

He brings a wealth of commercial and organizational leadership experience from high-growth companies in our industry and has a deep understanding of Chinese consumers and omnichannel development.”
Ma most recently served as CEO of 361 Degrees, and previously held executive roles at Topsports and adidas.
adidas
German sportswear giant adidas has appointed Marcus Morent as General Manager of its South Korea market, succeeding Peter Kwak, who resigned for family reasons.
In his new role, Marcus Morent will be responsible for strengthening adidas’ ongoing growth strategy in South Korea, enhancing a consistent, consumer-centric brand experience, and boosting customer satisfaction through diversified retail channels and strategic marketing initiatives. In January 2024, adidas elevated South Korea to a key independent market, separate from the Asia-Pacific region.
An Austrian national, Marcus Morent was most recently CEO of adidas Colombia. He joined adidas in 2005, starting his career in the retail finance division of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. From 2014 to 2019, he led retail and e-commerce for adidas Korea and also served as Vice President of the Latin America market and Head of DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) business.
Peloton
US-based connected fitness company Peloton Interactive, Inc. has announced two key appointments:

Francis Shanahan as the company’s first Chief Technology Officer

Megan Imbres as Chief Marketing Officer, effective July 7
Francis Shanahan will oversee engineering and technology operations, lead Peloton’s customer-facing AI strategy, and guide product architecture. He will report to Chief Product Officer Nick Caldwell. Shanahan joined Peloton in 2021 as Senior Vice President of Connected Fitness Software.
Megan Imbres will lead global brand and product marketing, growth marketing, creative, consumer insights, and member engagement, reporting directly to CEO Peter Stern.
Imbres was most recently General Manager of Marcom LA at Apple, where she oversaw global marketing communications for Apple’s services division. She led major creative campaigns and cultural milestones, including the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show and the Apple TV partnership with Major League Soccer.
Before joining Apple, Imbres played a pivotal role in the early growth of Netflix, helping build its streaming brand and launching the Netflix Originals identity. She also held the role of Global Head of Brand Marketing at Amazon Ads and served as Head of Brand and Content Marketing at Quibi, where she worked closely with co-founders Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman.
