Valentino
Italian luxury brand Valentino has announced that its Chief Marketing Officer Yigit Turhan has stepped down to pursue new career opportunities, effective 6 February.
Yigit Turhan joined Valentino in 2018 and has held his current position since July 2023. Prior to this, he worked at luxury brands including Gucci, Zegna, and Dolce & Gabbana. He holds a Master’s degree in Marketing Management from Bocconi University in Milan.
PVH
PVH Corp., the parent company of brands including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, has appointed Gemma Hart as Chief Communications Officer, effective 9 February.
In her new role, Gemma Hart will succeed Amber McCann, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. She will be responsible for all aspects of PVH’s global internal and external communications strategy, serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, and report directly to Group Chief Executive Officer Stefan Larsson.
Gemma Hart brings more than 20 years of experience in communications and public affairs across large multinational corporations and brands. Over the past decade, she has led communications teams in the consumer sector, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Affairs at Danone North America. Previously, she spent 13 years as a Partner at public relations firm Brunswick Group, where she provided strategic communications advisory services to clients.
Saks Global
Roopal Patel, Senior Vice President of the Fashion Division at the struggling US luxury department store group Saks Global, has departed the company.
A seasoned professional in luxury fashion retail, Roopal Patel was promoted to her most recent role in December 2024 following Saks Global’s acquisition of Neiman Marcus Group. In this position, she was responsible for fashion-related operations across both Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
Prior to this promotion, Roopal Patel had spent more than 10 years at Saks, rising through the ranks to become Senior Vice President and Fashion Director. Before joining Saks, she ran her own consulting firm focused on brand development. Earlier in her career, she served as Executive Fashion Director at online luxury fashion retailer Moda Operandi.
At the beginning of her career, Roopal Patel held the role of Accessories Fashion Director at Neiman Marcus. Before that, she spent more than six years as Senior Women’s Fashion Director at luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman.
