Diesel
Premium denim brand Diesel, owned by Italian fashion group OTB, announced that Creative Director Glenn Martens will step down following the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 runway show at Milan Fashion Week on September 22. The brand will announce its next creative director at a later date.
Glenn Martens will remain with OTB Group, continuing to lead the design of the group’s luxury fashion house Maison Margiela. Following the departure of John Galliano, Martens was appointed Creative Director of Maison Margiela in 2025.

Born in 1983, Glenn Martens is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential creative directors in contemporary fashion. His conceptual, architectural approach to design brings together avant-garde streetwear, couture and upcycling techniques.
He began his career at designer label Jean-Paul Gaultier. In 2017, he won France’s ANDAM Fashion Award for his own label Y/Project, while also receiving a year-long mentorship from Francesca Bellettini, Chief Executive Officer of Yves Saint Laurent. In 2018, he became one of the guest designers for Diesel’s experimental Red Tag capsule series, before being appointed Creative Director of Diesel in late 2020.
Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)
Steven Kolb, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), has stepped down.

In a statement issued earlier, Steven Kolb said, “After two decades leading the CFDA, I have made the difficult decision to step down as CEO and President. I am deeply proud of what we have accomplished together, and I believe this is the right moment for both myself and the organisation to begin a new chapter.”
On September 14, the CFDA Board placed Steven Kolb on administrative leave following an incident on September 13, when a group of animal rights activists from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) rushed onto the runway during a COS fashion show, chanting calls for the brand to stop using sheep’s wool. Kolb, who was at the scene, physically restrained at least two of the activists.
The CFDA has yet to announce a successor.
