China Resources MixC Life
On January 29th, China Resources MixC Life (01209.HK) announced the appointment of Wang Lei as Executive Director and Vice President, and Guo Ruifeng, the Vice President, as Executive Director and Chief Strategy and Operations Officer.
Wang Lei, 43 years old, has extensive experience in real estate development management, commercial property operation management, and corporate operations management. He joined the China Resources Group in July 2002 and has held various positions within China Resources Land Group. In October 2020, he was appointed as the General Manager of the Asset Management Department at the headquarters of China Resources Land. Wang Lei has signed a three-year service agreement with China Resources MixC Life Limited.
Guo Ruifeng, 45 years old, also has rich experience in real estate development management, commercial property operation management, human resources management, and corporate operations management. He joined China Resources Land in July 2003 and has served in multiple positions within the company. In August 2022, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of China Resources MixC Life Limited and became Vice President in December 2023. Guo Ruifeng has also signed a three-year service agreement with China Resources MixC Life Limited.
As of January 29th, Guo Ruifeng holds an equity interest in 80,884 shares of China Resources MixC Life, of which 49,884 shares are subscribed and held through an asset management plan set up by CICC Financial Trading Limited under the employee preferred stock issuance. He also holds an equity interest in 24,000 shares of China Resources Land, an associated corporation of China Resources MixC Life.
Hang Lung Properties / Hang Lung Group
On January 30th, Hang Lung Group Limited (Stock Code: 00010) and Hang Lung Properties Limited (Stock Code: 00101) announced that Ronnie C. Chan has retired and resigned from his positions as Group Chairman, Executive Director, and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the company. Concurrently, the Board of Directors appointed the current Vice Chairman, Adriel Chan, as Chairman, effective from the end of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on April 26, 2024.
Additionally, the Group stated that Ronnie C. Chan will no longer serve as a non-executive director of the Board after his retirement. The Board will confer the title of “Honorary Chairman” upon Ronnie C. Chan after his retirement, in recognition and gratitude for his significant contributions.
Ronnie C. Chan, 73 years old, joined Hang Lung Group in 1972, was appointed to the Board of Directors of Hang Lung Properties Limited in 1986, and became Chairman in 1991. He also serves as the Chairman of Hang Lung Group Limited.
Adriel Chan, the son of Ronnie C. Chan, is 41 years old. He joined the Group in 2010, was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors in 2016, and became Vice Chairman in September 2020. He is primarily responsible for development and design, project management (including asset assurance and optimization), and cost and control. Moreover, Ronnie C. Chan also established and chairs the Sustainability Oversight Committee within the Group.
On the same day, the Board of Directors of Hang Lung Properties Limited also announced the appointment of Li Tianfang (or Li Guanyi) as an independent non-executive director of the company, effective March 20, 2024. Dominic Chiu Fai Ho, one of the current five independent non-executive directors, will retire after the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on April 26, and will no longer serve as the chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Li Tianfang, 54 years old, holds a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University in Australia and a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Engineering from Tianjin University of Technology. She has over 20 years of management experience in the fast-moving consumer goods, sports apparel, and fashion industries in mainland China. She currently serves as a consultant to the CEO of Skechers China. From 2014 to 2022, she served as the CEO of the Xtep brand under Xtep International Holdings Limited and was the CEO of KSGB International Business Group from 2021 to 2023, responsible for global brands including K-Swiss and Palladium. From 2012 to 2014, she was the CEO of China Business of Sitoy Group Holdings Limited. Before that, from 2000 to 2012, she held various positions at adidas, lastly as the Vice President and General Manager for North China.
Hang Lung Group, founded by Ronnie C. Chan’s father, Chan Tseng-hsi, in 1960, saw Ronnie C. Chan take over as Chairman in 1991. As a large-scale top-tier real estate developer, the Group’s diversified property portfolio covers Hong Kong and nine cities in mainland China (Shanghai, Shenyang, Jinan, Wuxi, Tianjin, Dalian, Kunming, Wuhan, and Hangzhou).
