Nike
American sportswear giant Nike has appointed longtime employee Jennifer Hartley as Chief Strategy Officer, joining the company’s senior leadership team.
Jennifer Hartley has been with Nike for 14 years. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing, driving, and executing Nike’s strategic initiatives.
Earlier this year, Nike announced the elimination of the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer position, leading to the departure of Daniel Heaf. The team he oversaw has since been integrated into the finance department.
BasicNet
Italian fashion group BasicNet, parent company of Italian sportswear brand Kappa, Italy’s iconic canvas sneaker brand Superga, and French outdoor apparel brand K-Way, has appointed Alessandro Boglione and Lorenzo Boglione as Co-Chief Executive Officers.
The brothers are the sons of Marco Boglione, founder and President of BasicNet. Both joined BasicNet as interns in 2010 and 2012, respectively, and have held multiple management positions before being named Vice Presidents in 2022. Lorenzo Boglione stated that their mission is to carry on their father’s legacy by modernizing the company and steering it towards a direction that aligns better with today’s market demands.
In their new roles, they will succeed Federico Trono, who has served as CEO since 2019 and will now transition to become CEO of the Kappa brand. Marco Boglione noted in a statement that Federico Trono played a critical role in the company’s development and growth during his tenure and ensured a smooth operational transition.
Lorenzo Boglione emphasized that, as representatives of the company’s principal shareholder family, their goal is to maintain the current trajectory of the company’s development. Alessandro Boglione added that despite the change in roles, he aims to continue the experience built over the past six years working alongside Federico Trono, ensuring continuity in the group’s industrial plans.
