Gucci
Italian luxury brand Gucci, under French conglomerate Kering, has appointed former Renault Group executive Gianluca de Ficchy as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective December 1. He will report to Francesca Bellettini, CEO of Gucci.
This appointment comes as Luca de Meo, newly appointed CEO of Kering and former CEO of Renault, undertakes a comprehensive restructuring of both the group and the Gucci brand. Luca de Meo officially took the helm at Kering in September.
Gianluca de Ficchy previously served as CEO of Mobilize, Renault’s mobility division encompassing auto financing, ride-sharing, and electric vehicle charging services. He left Renault in October 2022. Gucci’s former Chief Financial, Data and Operations Officer, Alberto Valente, departed in September after nearly 17 years with the company.
Kering has also recently appointed Philippine de Schonen, formerly Head of M&A and Investor Relations at Renault Group, to lead its investor relations team.

Japanese luxury jeweler Mikimoto has appointed Yasuhiko Hashimoto, currently Managing Director, as President and Representative Director following a board meeting. Shinichi Nakanishi, the outgoing President and Representative Director, will now serve as Chairman and Representative Director.
Yasuhiko Hashimoto joined Mikimoto in 1991. He has held key roles including Head of Sales and Head of Marketing at the headquarters, later becoming Director in charge of marketing, and has served as General Manager since 2019.

Former President Shinichi Nakanishi joined the company in 1982 and has held various leadership positions in sales and product departments. He became President and Representative Director in 2019.

German luxury e-commerce platform Mytheresa announced on Tuesday that Francis Belin will succeed Michael Kliger as Chief Executive Officer in January 2025.
Michael Kliger, who joined Mytheresa in 2015, will continue to serve as CEO of the LuxExperience Group, overseeing strategic direction for Mytheresa as well as luxury e-commerce platforms NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER, and YOOX.
Francis Belin previously served as President of Christie’s Asia Pacific and held senior roles at Swarovski and Richemont, beginning his career at McKinsey & Company. He will report directly to Michael Kliger.
This leadership transition comes as LuxExperience outlines a long-term growth plan aiming to achieve €4 billion in revenue by 2030—a substantial increase from the €2.7 billion reported for fiscal year 2025, which ended in June.

Galeries Lafayette
Arthur Lemoine, CEO of Galeries Lafayette and fifth-generation member of the founding family, is currently assembling a new core executive team. Following the appointment of Harold Israel in early November as Head of Special Projects, the group has now named Elsa Haddad as the new Head of Finance, Strategy, and Transformation.
Elsa Haddad will assume the role on December 1, responsible for “coordinating key transformation initiatives, formulating and monitoring budget plans to support Galeries Lafayette’s full-scale revitalization.” She succeeds Matthieu Caloni, who currently shares CFO responsibilities with Nicolas Houzé.
Aged 36, Elsa Haddad will report to Arthur Lemoine and join the group’s Executive Committee. She joined Galeries Lafayette in 2018, having started her career at Boston Consulting Group. At the company, she has served as Project Manager for Strategy and Transformation, then as Head of Development and New Projects, and most recently led the BHV Marais department store’s digital and expansion initiatives. She was also in charge of the Beauty, Home, and Leisure categories in the product purchasing division.
As of mid-November, following the closure of its Marseille store, Galeries Lafayette operates 48 stores in France, 17 directly owned and 31 franchised, along with 11 other stores (existing and upcoming) in domestic and international markets, one e-commerce platform, and one outlet store.

Pollini
Italian luxury group Aeffe has announced the appointment of Natalia Battaglini as General Manager of Pollini.
Natalia Battaglini joined Pollini in 2018 and has since served as Style Director and Merchandising Director for footwear and leather goods. Prior to that, she spent five years in merchandising at Valentino. Between 2009 and 2023, she worked at Zegna Group as Market Analyst and Merchandising Manager.

With this appointment, Aeffe aims to inject fresh momentum into Pollini. On October 2, Aeffe and Pollini jointly filed for an assisted crisis restructuring procedure.
In recent weeks, Aeffe postponed its nine-month financial report originally scheduled for November 14. The board’s reviewed sales performance showed consolidated revenue of €155 million, down 25.1% at constant exchange rates (and 25.4% at current exchange rates).
