Hermès

French luxury brand Hermès has announced the departure of Véronique Nichanian, its Artistic Director of Men’s Universe.

Now 71 years old, Véronique Nichanian has worked at Hermès for 37 years, making her the longest-serving creative director in the fashion industry. Her final collection will be unveiled during Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2026.

Nichanian graduated from the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and began her career at the menswear brand Cerruti, working alongside the brand’s founder, Nino Cerruti. She joined Hermès in 1988 at the invitation of then-CEO Jean-Louis Dumas, becoming one of the few women at the time to lead a menswear division at a major luxury house. Throughout her tenure, she held two fashion shows annually for Hermès.

In an interview with French newspaper Le Figaro, Nichanian shared that she had been discussing the transition with Hermès CEO Axel Dumas and Artistic Director Pierre-Alexis Dumas for several years. “Hermès has been very kind, allowing me to choose the timing of my departure. Now is the perfect moment to pass the baton,” she said.

Hermès has not yet announced her successor.

Giorgio Armani Group

Italian luxury group Giorgio Armani Group has appointed Giuseppe Marsocci as Chief Executive Officer and Silvana Armani as Vice President, effective immediately.

Following the appointments, Giuseppe Marsocci will also join the board of directors. Both he and Silvana Armani will report to the Giorgio Armani Foundation, led by Pantaleo Dell’Orco.

With over 35 years of international experience in the fashion and luxury sectors, Marsocci has been with the Armani Group since 2003. Since 2019, he has served as Deputy General Manager and Chief Commercial Officer. He is also a longtime friend of Armani and a partial heir to his estate.

Marsocci began his career at the GFT Group in Turin, where he worked in sales, marketing, and brand management. The GFT Group held licensing rights for brands such as Valentino, Dior, Ungaro, Stone Island, and Armani. He later served as Head of International Business Development at Fila Sport (a subsidiary of the HDP Group) for five years. After joining the Armani Group, he held various roles across Milan and Italy, including Business Director of Armani Collezioni and CEO of the Swiss branch (formerly the logistics and customer service hub for all international markets). He also spent over a decade in the New York office, first as President of Trimil U.S., a joint venture between Zegna and Armani, and then as CEO of Armani Group Americas from 2014 to 2019.

Silvana Armani, daughter of Armani’s late brother Sergio, previously worked in design roles within the group. According to Armani’s will, she has inherited Class B shares in the company, representing 15% of the equity and 15% of the voting rights.
