British fashion designer Phoebe Philo’s eponymous brand will officially launch in the Chinese mainland market this September through a wholesale model.
The brand announced the news on July 31, revealing partnerships with several Chinese multi-brand retailers, including B1OCK concept store in Hangzhou, DongLiang in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, Dover Street Market in Beijing, Lane Crawford in Shanghai, and SND in both Chengdu and Shanghai.
These wholesale partners in China will debut the brand’s Collection C, which includes ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear, and accessories. However, the specific launch dates at each store may vary.
Phoebe Philo will continue to operate primarily through its official website as the main online sales channel. Current shipping destinations include Australia, Europe, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Phoebe Philo previously served as Creative Director of Celine, the French luxury brand under LVMH. In late October 2023, nearly six years after stepping away from the fashion and luxury industry, she returned with her namesake label. Instead of traditional seasonal collections, the brand releases limited-run “editions.” After a year of operations, the brand began revealing full collections in advance. Most recently, it launched Collection D.
In spring 2024, Phoebe Philo entered the physical wholesale market for the first time, partnering with six premium department stores and multi-brand retailers in Europe and the United States.
By November 2024, the brand expanded into the Asia-Pacific region, joining retailers such as Dover Street Market Ginza and Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo, Parlour X in Sydney, and Shinsegae International in Seoul.
This year, the brand entered the Hong Kong market through Lane Crawford and also opened its first shop-in-shop at Galeries Lafayette in Paris.
