HongShan China

HongShan China (HSG) has appointed Angela Dong as Investment Partner.

Angela Dong previously served as Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Nike Greater China, stepping down on March 31 this year. She worked in the Greater China region for more than 20 years, having joined Nike in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer. Over the course of her tenure, she held multiple senior management roles of increasing responsibility. In October 2024, she was appointed Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Nike Greater China, while also serving as Global Chief Executive Officer of the outdoor sub-brand All Conditions Gear (ACG). Prior to that, she had served as General Manager of Nike Greater China for ten years.

Her career and leadership experience have witnessed several pivotal moments in the development of sports, culture, and corporate business in the Greater China market, including the hosting of the Beijing Olympic Games, the rapid rise of Chinese consumer groups and the digital ecosystem, as well as the unprecedented impact of the global pandemic and the subsequent recovery.

Alo Yoga

US premium yoga lifestyle brand Alo Yoga has appointed Jimmy Zhu as President of China and North Asia, effective April 1.

In his new role, Jimmy Zhu will be responsible for overall strategy and operations management in China and North Asia, focusing on team building, omnichannel strategy, and long-term growth planning, in preparation for the brand’s official entry into the Greater China market in autumn 2026. He will report directly to the brand’s International Chief Executive Officer.

Jimmy Zhu brings 18 years of experience in building international brands across the Asia-Pacific region, with expertise spanning the luxury sector, multi-market management, and regional growth strategy. He previously served as General Manager of Givenchy Greater China under LVMH Group, and has also held roles at luxury brands including Prada and Giorgio Armani.

Scott

Swiss cycling brand Scott Sports has appointed Hsuan Boon Tan as Co-Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

In his new position, Hsuan Boon Tan will be based at the company’s global headquarters in Switzerland and will serve alongside current Co-Chief Executive Officer Pascal Ducrot.

Scott Sports is currently owned by the Korean group Youngone Corporation, which completed its full acquisition of the brand in 2025. Hsuan Boon Tan will succeed Juwon Kim, who will return to Korea to focus on strategy and investment activities at Youngone Group.

Juwon Kim and Hsuan Boon Tan will remain on Scott’s Board of Directors, and Pascal Ducrot will also join the Board.

Hsuan Boon Tan has extensive experience in corporate governance and commercial litigation, and has worked for many years within both Youngone and Scott. Most recently, he served as Head of Legal and Compliance at Youngone Group, and previously practised as a private lawyer in Singapore. Since joining Scott’s Board two years ago, he has played a central role in stabilising the company’s operations following the turbulence in the cycling industry during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, helping to steer the group back onto a growth trajectory.

Lowa

German mountaineering footwear manufacturer Lowa has appointed Marco Pirani as its newly created Commercial Managing Director.

In this new role, Marco Pirani will oversee LOWA’s commercial structure, including sales, marketing, international markets, and the company’s subsidiaries in Austria, Switzerland, and the United States.

Marco Pirani brings extensive international management experience, having previously held senior management positions at Benetton Group, Clarks, Geox, Artsana Chicco, and Luxottica.

Lowa stated that the creation of the Commercial Managing Director role forms part of the brand’s organisational transformation. The objective is to clearly integrate responsibilities, accelerate decision-making processes, and further strengthen the brand strategically within the framework of its majority shareholder, Tecnica Group.

Meanwhile, Tecnica Chief Executive Officer Andrea Dorigo will concurrently serve as Chief Executive Officer of LOWA. Operational responsibilities will remain under Alexander Nicolai, who will continue in his role as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing design, product development, production, and the group’s core functions.

Topo Athletic

US outdoor running shoe brand Topo Athletic, owned by Designer Brands, has appointed Natalie Riley as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

In her new role, Natalie Riley will oversee Topo Athletic’s global financial strategy, while also taking responsibility for the company’s global sales and operations.

Natalie Riley most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations at Topo Athletic. She joined the company more than 13 years ago at its founding and has been involved throughout its development.

Alterra Mountain

US ski resort operator Alterra Mountain has appointed Linnea Hansen as President and Chief Operating Officer of Crystal Mountain in Washington State, effective immediately.

In her new role, Linnea Hansen will be fully responsible for resort operations, enhancing employee and guest experiences, continuously building and deepening community relationships, and driving profitable growth. She will report directly to Ron Cohen, Regional Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the Western Mountain Division.

Linnea Hansen previously served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Crystal Mountain. She brings more than 20 years of management experience across hospitality, consumer brands, global marketing, and operations. According to Alterra, during her tenure as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Crystal Mountain, Hansen strengthened community engagement and relationship building, prioritised consumer and guest experience, enhanced employee engagement, and led cross-functional projects across multiple business units and departments within the resort.
