Fear of God

High-end streetwear brand Fear of God has announced the departure of its Chief Executive Officer, Bastien Daguzan.

Bastien Daguzan officially took charge of managing the Fear of God brand in September 2024. Prior to this role, he served as a strategic advisor to the brand’s founder, overseeing brand architecture, management team integration, and global growth strategy.

Daguzan graduated from Paris-Sorbonne University and the Institut Français de la Mode. He began his career leading the eponymous fashion brand of Belgian designer Kris Van Assche. From 2013 to 2017, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Lemaire, where he facilitated the brand’s collaboration with Uniqlo.

He later spent five years as General Manager of the fashion division at Paco Rabanne, during which he also provided consulting services to Jacquemus before officially joining the brand in May 2022.

Fear of God will eliminate the Chief Executive Officer position going forward.

Central Group

Thailand’s Central Group has appointed Pierluigi Cocchini as Chief Executive Officer for Europe.

Central Group, Thailand’s leading retailer owned by the billionaire Chirathivat family, was among the first companies to introduce shopping malls to Bangkok. Its businesses span real estate, retail, hospitality, and restaurants, and include Central Pattana Pcl, a shopping mall developer, and Central Plaza Hotel Pcl, among others.

In Europe, Central Group owns several prominent high-end department stores, including KaDeWe in Germany, Selfridges in the United Kingdom, Globus in Switzerland, and Rinascente in Italy.

Pierluigi Cocchini, who currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Rinascente, will retain his existing role while taking on this new position.

In his new role, Cocchini will oversee the group’s strategic planning and operational coordination across Europe, driving full integration among its retail chains while maintaining financial discipline, achieving shared key performance indicators, fostering a unified management culture, and preserving each brand’s unique positioning.

Two new roles have been added to Cocchini’s team:

  • Giuseppe D’Amato has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer for Europe. He will be responsible for formulating and executing a pan-European commercial strategy, covering brand portfolio management, category buying and performance, marketing initiatives, and media promotion. Acting as the key liaison between Cocchini and regional heads of buying and marketing, he will ensure measurable commercial results across markets.
  • Chart Chirathivat has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer for Europe, a newly created role. He will focus on building strategic partnerships with leading global luxury groups, positioning Central Group’s European stores as preferred partners for major brand launches and collaborative projects. He will also foster ongoing, high-level communication between international brand executives and Central Group’s operations in both Europe and Asia.

Following Cocchini’s promotion, Mariella Elia’s responsibilities have been expanded. In addition to her current role as Managing Director of Rinascente, she will now oversee finance for Globus, Rinascente, Illum, and KaDeWe across Europe. Lucia Guagliardi will continue as Managing Director of Globus Switzerland. André Maeder remains Chief Executive Officer of Selfridges and also serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Selfridges Group, a joint venture between Central Group and PIF.

Dr. Martens

British heritage footwear brand Dr. Martens has appointed new General Managers across all its major regional markets as it continues to advance its consumer-first strategy and streamline its operating model.

  • Nick Duff has been promoted to General Manager for the United Kingdom.
  • Nathalie Schneider has been appointed General Manager for France.
  • Kristin Staeren has been appointed General Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
  • Giorgio Trevisan has been appointed General Manager for Italy.

Prior to these appointments, Dr. Martens had already named Yoichi Oikawa as General Manager for Japan, while the U.S. market continues to be directly overseen by Paul Zadoff, President of the Americas.

In a statement, Dr. Martens said the organizational changes will “drive the business toward a regionally structured model that is closer to consumers, while strengthening global brand, technology, and support functions.”

Additionally, the company is simplifying its management structure by establishing a new Executive Committee led by Chief Executive Officer Ije Nwokorie. The committee is responsible for setting business direction and includes Nwokorie, Zadoff, Chief Financial Officer Giles Wilson, Chief Brand Officer Carla Murphy, Interim Chief Operating Officer Anna Duffiet, Chief Commercial Officer Mike Stopforth, Chief People Officer Bridget Jolliffe, and Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary Katherine Bellau.
