German sportswear giant adidas announced that Birgit Kretschmer will join the company’s Executive Board on September 1 and assume the role of Chief Financial Officer at the end of this year.

Current Chief Financial Officer Harm Ohlmeyer has decided not to seek renewal of his Executive Board mandate upon its expiration and will step down at the end of the year. Harm Ohlmeyer worked closely with Chief Executive Officer Bjørn Gulden and the Supervisory Board to finalize the succession plan. He has been with adidas for nearly 30 years and has served as the Group’s CFO since May 2017.
Birgit Kretschmer brings over 30 years of experience in finance. She spent the majority of her career (25 years) at adidas, holding several key management positions across the Group, including Chief Financial Officer of adidas International BV, CFO of the Western Europe region, and Senior Vice President of Corporate and Operational Finance. In these roles, she oversaw accounting, treasury, M&A, and operational controlling. She joined the Group’s senior finance leadership team in 2012 and was a member of the core management team from 2017 to 2020. Over the past six years, Birgit Kretschmer has served as Chief Financial Officer of leading European fashion retailer C&A. She currently also holds non-executive director roles at two listed companies, Ceconomy and Mister Spex, where she chairs the Supervisory Board Audit Committee.
From January 1, 2027, the adidas Executive Board will consist of four members: Bjørn Gulden, Birgit Kretschmer, Michelle Robertson (responsible for Global Human Resources, People and Culture), and Mathieu Sidokpohou (Chief Commercial Officer).
VF
VF Corporation, the U.S.-based outdoor apparel group (NYSE: VFC) and parent company of brands such as The North Face, Vans, and Timberland, announced that Chief Financial Officer Paul Vogel will step down to spend more time with his family.
Current Chief Operating Officer Abhishek Dalmia (pictured below) will assume a newly combined role, serving as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Over the next quarter, Paul Vogel will work closely with Abhishek Dalmia to ensure a smooth and orderly transition.

Abhishek Dalmia previously held roles at Dell and Lululemon, and later spent seven years at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he rose to Managing Director and Partner, advising a wide range of companies across the industry. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata, India, and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow).
Kontoor Brands
Kontoor Brands, Inc. (NYSE: KTB), the global lifestyle apparel group and parent company of U.S. denim brands Lee and Wrangler, as well as Norwegian outdoor brand Helly Hansen, has appointed former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Waldron—who departed the company in September 2025—to its Board of Directors. The board will expand from six to seven members.

From May 2024 to September 30, 2025, Tom Waldron served as EVP and COO of Kontoor, overseeing the global operations of Wrangler and Lee, as well as the Group’s supply chain, product development, and innovation functions. Prior to that, he was EVP, Co-Chief Operating Officer, and Global Brand President of Wrangler. Earlier in his career, he held various management roles across brand management, merchandising, sales, and operations at VF Corporation.
In 2019, VF Corp spun off its Wrangler and Lee businesses to form Kontoor Brands as an independent company. In addition, Tom Waldron also serves as a board member of The Lycra Company.
Gymshark
UK-based fitness apparel brand Gymshark has appointed Matt Rogers as Chief Supply Chain Officer.

In his new role, Matt Rogers will take full responsibility for Gymshark’s end-to-end supply chain, covering sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics. He will report directly to founder and Chief Executive Officer Ben Francis and join the company’s Executive Committee.
Matt Rogers joined Gymshark in 2023 as Global Supply Chain Director and most recently also served as Interim General Manager of Sourcing and Supply Chain.
Prior to joining Gymshark, Matt Rogers spent ten years at UK fashion e-commerce company ASOS, where he was Group Supply Chain Director before his departure. He has also held senior roles at DHL and House of Fraser.
