Recently, fast-moving consumer goods giant Unilever announced that it would build a new factory in Nuevo Leon, a northern border state in Mexico, as part of its plan to invest $400 million in the country over the next three years. This investment will create 1,200 direct and indirect job opportunities in the region.
Unilever stated that the factory would be located in Salinas Victoria, a suburb of Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo Leon. It is expected to start operations in 2024, producing beauty and personal care products for export to more than 25 countries.
