Versace

Italian luxury brand Versace is undergoing a creative restructuring following its official acquisition by the Prada Group. Dario Vitale, who served as Chief Creative Officer for only eight months, has stepped down, effective December 12.

In a statement, Versace said the departure was mutually agreed upon. Moving forward, the design team will continue working under the leadership of Versace CEO Emmanuel Gintzburger. A new creative leadership appointment will be announced in due course.

“We sincerely thank Dario Vitale for his outstanding contribution to the brand’s creative strategy during this transitional period, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” the statement said.

Dario Vitale joined Versace in April this year, succeeding Donatella Versace—sister of the brand’s founder—as Creative Director. Before that, he was the Design and Image Director at Miu Miu under the Prada Group, where he spent many years working in the design studios of various Prada Group brands. He succeeded Fabio Zambernardi, former Design Director for Prada and Miu Miu, in the Miu Miu role and played a key role in the brand’s success.

Vitale, a Naples native, began his career at Dsquared2 and later worked at Bottega Veneta before joining Miu Miu in 2010.

LVMH Métiers d’Excellence

Matteo De Rosa has stepped down as CEO of LVMH’s Métiers d’Art division, effective October 17.

Since 2021, De Rosa had been overseeing the group’s key raw materials suppliers, focusing on the sourcing of leather, exotic skins, and metal components. LVMH expressed gratitude for his contributions to the division’s development and growing influence, emphasizing the department’s mission to preserve and promote the group’s exceptional artisanal heritage.

Prior to joining LVMH, De Rosa served as President of Belgian brand Dries Van Noten and was previously Fashion and Lifestyle Director at Australian luxury retailer Kennedy.

A successor has not yet been named. The appointment will be announced in due course by Ludovic Pauchard, LVMH’s Director of Manufacturing and Métiers, who also serves as Executive Chairman of the Métiers d’Art division.

De Beers

De Beers, the world’s largest diamond supplier under Anglo American, has announced that Wesley Tucker, CEO of its blockchain platform Tracr, will step down and leave the company at the end of February 2026.

Tucker joined De Beers in April 2021, initially serving as Head of Digital Transformation before being appointed CEO of Tracr. During his tenure, he led Tracr’s evolution from a pilot project into the diamond industry’s leading digital traceability platform, setting new benchmarks for diamond provenance and transparency.

De Beers stated that an announcement regarding his successor will be made in due course.
