Under Armour

U.S. sportswear company Under Armour has appointed Liz Bacelar as the new Head of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics.

In her new role, Liz Bacelar is tasked with building a team of data scientists, engineers, and AI specialists to integrate generative AI across the company’s operations.

Bringing extensive experience in digital transformation within the beauty industry, Bacelar most recently served as Executive Director of Global Tech Innovation at Estée Lauder Companies. During her tenure, she led the group’s research and insights team, providing analysis and briefings on industry trends, cutting-edge technologies, and breakthrough digital interactions. She also played a key role in Estée Lauder’s foray into NFTs and the metaverse, leading projects such as Clinique’s Metaoptimist NFT campaign.

Arena

Performance swimwear brand Arena has announced the departure of Deputy CEO Giuseppe Musciacchio, who is also stepping down from the board and affiliated companies.

Musciacchio had been with Arena for 18 years. He was appointed Co-CEO in mid-2016 and took on his most recent role in mid-2021.

The brand has begun the search for his successor and will announce the appointment in due course.

In the interim, CEO Peter Graschi will assume the responsibilities of the vacant role. Graschi joined Arena in 2021 after 16 years in the fashion industry, having previously worked at TALLY WEiJL and Holy Fashion Group.

Perfect Moment

London-based luxury lifestyle brand Perfect Moment, known for its ski wear, outerwear, swimwear, and sportswear collections, has appointed Kristine Marvin to the newly created position of General Counsel.

With 28 years of experience in corporate law, intellectual property, compliance, and governance across both private and publicly listed companies, Marvin will oversee the development of Perfect Moment’s legal framework, brand protection, and operational enhancements to support its global expansion.

Prior to joining the company, she served as Vice President and General Counsel at Timberland, overseeing corporate governance, brand protection, trade compliance, and risk management.

As part of a broader effort to strengthen its product development and supply chain capabilities, Perfect Moment also announced several key executive appointments:

  • Rui Morgadinho as Head of Production & Quality Assurance
  • Samantha Argotti as Head of Product
  • Angela Sobral as Head of Sourcing

All three executives previously worked at Canadian premium outerwear brand Canada Goose and will report to Vittorio Giacomelli in their new roles.

Ortovox

Mountain gear and wool apparel brand Ortovox has named Stefan Kohlbauer as CEO, succeeding interim CEO Martin Riebel, who is also Managing Director of parent company Schwan-Stabilo Outdoor.

Kohlbauer brings extensive industry experience and joined the company in 2022. He was previously an executive at Esprit and has held several management roles at Sport Eybl & Sports Experts GmbH.

Founded in 1980, Ortovox is renowned for its avalanche safety equipment and wool-based outdoor apparel.

European Outdoor Group

European Outdoor Group, the trade organization for the European outdoor gear industry, has announced several major executive appointments:

  • David Ekelund, founder of Swedish outdoor footwear brand Icebug, as President
  • Andrew Shand, executive at outdoor gear brand Helinox, as Vice President
  • Achim Loeffler, Global Business Leader at WL Gore & Associates, as Finance Officer
  • The new board also includes executives from five leading brands: Giulia Delladio (La Sportiva), Irina Andorfer (Sport 2000), Nina Hajikhanian (Patagonia EMEA), Heiko Schaefer (Mammut Sports Group), and Jonathan Petty (Helen of Troy).
